Ok, I wasn't aware of that Gen quote. Good point.

Honestly, I didn't think my comment would spur such serious discussion. It was in Size 1 font for a reason, lol.

    Still, thanks for the info.

About your Fate/Zero Episode 3 post...

Well, I just felt that Sayaka vs. Kyouko should have been much more epic, in general, than what it was. Like Guardian Enzo said, sword vs. spear is a goldmine for great choreography, and Sayaka vs. Kyouko is exactly that.

Saber vs. Lancer is also exactly that, and so I was pleased that the goldmine was mined quite nicely by Ufotable in Fate/Zero.

Hmmm... I'm don't remember finding the dissonance bugged me much in Canaan but I can't even remember the bit you refer to.

Friend:Poor minko, she's so getting friendzoned and the fandom hates her
Me:Well despite that she's still better off than Aiko from true tears.
However, I do apparently have a better memory than your friend. Guess that means his love for True Tears is insufficient.

Hahah basically I watched the first episode knowing that Iwasaki was working on it, I remember noting one piece of music that had that dissonance vibe you often hear in Soul Eater/C and that's it. I honestly remember nothing else about the music from that first episode. Than when I posted how disappointed I was with the score I than find out he also did Memochou and got depressed I watched 4 episodes of that and had no idea he worked on it, had no inclination to even look up who did the music, I than listened to the OST and.. yeah.. it's like watching your fav sportsmen play at the point where they can no longer perform at the level they used, Tracy McGrady as a basketball example and Roy Jones Jr as a boxing example..

Anyway I still have to watch the second episode of Bento (50 hour work weeks eats into leisure time) but hopefully I'll hear some promising things.

lol yea, but I dunno, the whole looks kinda cheap. It's not enough to really make me hate it, but I think I am pretty "meh" atm

Yep, that's our Araki alright One thing that I failed to mention is what you pointed out, the man will sacrifice internal logic for the series just so that he can amplify the ''coolness'' factor to the max. That's why I said that that entire scene just is the summarization of just what Director Araki Tetsuro is about. It's about the carzy camera zoom ins, the violation of the viewers personal space via extremely close up shots of character faces (or other bodily part a la HoTD :P) and being very very dramatic and theatrical in all aspects to the extreme.

True, true. That's a great couple too and just makes it that much more storybook!
