This may help you understand what you can do. Try to take images and not oversaturate them so much. By that I mean, the contrast in the colors are really hard and not that soft. Like your current sig is nice, although cropped, it's good and nice and the lens flare you placed looks cool. The sigs you were posting in the SoTM were hardly saturated, which makes the colors and image lose it's quality.

Well I didn't brush that much. Mostly filtered C4Ds. For smudging however, I used a 7pxl soft brush and edited the settings to scatter until I liked it. Then I smuged around the focal (guy). After that I did a radial blur outward at full capacity and then a distortion -> wave -> then ripple -> wave -> reduce noise. (each has it's own layer, just kept applying image and erased parts I didn't like).

For the bloodlust sig, I did use a ripple. After the ripple I went to Filter -> Noise -> Reduce Noise to make it look neater (just increase the strength). If it's too much, just lower to opacity of that layer. After that I duplicated it twice. Set the First layer to Gaussian Blur (2.0) and then the other duplicate over that, with an overlay. About 20-30% opacity each.

Ofcourse, before I did the ripple, I did mess around with brushes, C4D and the render to get the background the way I wanted it.

Well that is understandable, there are many types of elements that novels can bring to you that make them "unique" in their own feature. That's why I don't have a favorite book as well from all that I read well of course there is the Shakugan no Shana light novel for me

Its just getting me more and more curious which book/novel was the most interesting for you out of all that you read. Probably a random thing to ask but just asking out of curiosity
