Re: Zankyou no Terror and Death Note - it's not just Konakaga, I got a similar... 'vibe" from them if you will as well.

Also, I'm normally nowhere near as big a yuri fan as you but I totally dig this pic:

There hasn't been anything quite like Death Note since Death Note (at least to the best of my knowledge)
I am not sure this comment is valid, now, as Zankyou no Terror from last season was the most Death Note-like-anime I've probably ever seen . Though still bit different from, of course.

Nice to see a pleasant but rare visit from you, Triple R. It's not problem dude I just got a new signature and since I did, I wanted to pay a visit to said thread in question. And as both fellow Magical Girl and Idol enthusiast, I really enjoyed commenting and giving a fair and honest rating on your avatar. Honoka's cool but Umi-sama is for my heart, eyes and ears only.

I noticed that you changed your fanfic thread and it's a Love Live one now. I will give you a comment on it, but the past year...my god but I'll be staying with some "friends" for the time being so I can give you a review on it. Just give me still the end of this week.

Sorry for the semi-long post. It's great to hear from you, and so until your next wall visit or PM etc. Until then!

Find it rather ironic people in that Mary Sue/Gary Stu thread only want to argue about Mahouka with the odd mention of SAO. I find it hard to believe that people aren't discussing Attack on Titan as being the most blatant example of that character type being successful via Levi and Mikasa.

I would suggest a darker red or a light orange for your border.

I remember Nanoha being called the Gurren Lagann of magical girl shows back in the day (definitely pre-PMMM). Granted, that was partly intended to counter critics writing it off as a lolicon show, but part of the reason it gained traction is many of us saw it as a very astute comparison.

I really liked Yuki Yuuna's second episode myself. First was a bit of a miss - and while I hate to do the PMMM comparison, that's mainly because of a lack of dramatic foreshadowing early on. I honestly expected something Slice of Life-ish.

I do like the visuals a lot - even the way the girls sometimes go spinning off into the air when hit (which kind of reminds me of Super Smash Brothers...).

I also have to make note of one of the episode 2 transformations - at first watch I felt it was excessively servicy, but then I realized it has some symbolic value that kind of makes up for it.

I do agree this will probably be much bright than PMMM though I wouldn't be surprised if i goes some fairly dark places along the way.

Re: Trinity Seven: I largely agree with your general assessment of episode 2. But I also feel that it's position on my list is kind of insecure. Because Ore Twintails ni Narimasu, while pretty silly on the whole, is a much more fun show. And also incredibly self aware.

I'm surprised how many strong late season launches and second episode better than first cases I've seen this season... it's gone from being a season I was pretty meh on to one I'm pretty pumped for.

I wish we had such a holiday here. teehee

Selector spread wixoss, Chaika and Nanatsu no taizai are my top for the season. Kokkuri-san and parasyte are also nice.

And you, what are your picks?

I'm thinking you may find Yuki Yuna wa Yusha de Aru relevant to your interests.
