Speaking of Eri Kitamura's voice range, I just watched Episode 1 of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san today, and she did the voice of the main male character!

While female seiyuu voicing males are nothing new, I have to say that this is the first time I've heard her voice a male character. Talk about going beyond tomboyish girls. The spotlight in that episode however, goes to Kana Asumi's wacky and energetic performance for the moe Lovecraftian deity protagonist, who is a very genki girl.

On the other end of the spectrum, I've heard Eri do some voice work for more girly, loli characters as well, with last season's Papa no Iu Koto o Kikinasai! as an example.

To add to her forte with genki girls and serious-minded girls, I thought she did sexy/seductive girls well too, with Kanade Suzutsuki from Mayo Chiki! as a good example, and Ami Kawashima from Toradora!, to an extent.

Remember To Love Ru, the series I told you had a character, Golden Darkness aka Yami, that resembles Fate Testarossa (Or Eve from Black Cat, mostly if you've seen that)? They're coming up with a sequel which unlike the first series had mostly silly ecchi is gonna be a bit steamier and may or may not have yuri. And Yami will be the main focus

But let's tempt you with something from season 2 of the first "tamer" series. (Somewhat NSFW and mildly spoilerish)

I'm glad you're also taking an interest in ClariS. They're totally awesome right? I'm a huge if not biggest fan of their music, and they're anime fans too, which makes them even more epic.

My top 5 favourite songs from them are:

    1. Connect
    2. Don't Cry
    3. Nexus
    4. Irony
    5. I'm in Love

There's many more but I'll focus on the top 5 for now. I'm so looking forward to their debut album "Birthday" getting released tomorrow. My ears are getting excited wondering what kinds of neat tracks will be on the album.

I'll shut up and leave you alone now, sorry for bother you.

Hey There! I just finished my review for the current update you've written. Sorry it took so long but I had "issues" that required me to leave home and gather my thoughts. Well it's up now and I hope you like what you'll see. Did you get my past PM's by any chance.

I'll leave you alone now! I'm off to find more ClariS songs and I hope to hear from you soon.

    Yes, Eri Kitamura FTW.

Yeah, Kirie's not really a genki girl, but she is a serious-minded, tomboyish girl. Even so, I've already come to like her even when there was only the manga. She has her own charm moments, though I can only hope those make it into the anime adaptation. However, it's actually Yuuko who remains my favorite in the source.

Glad to see you liked it, and I wholeheartedly agree with you on the seiyuu work. It's a shame the approach in the adaptation virtually stripped Episode 1 of the manga's more serious elements, though. It wasn't supposed to be mostly comedy and light-hearted moments.

Ghost love interests, Zombie love interests, if this season isn't the romantic Spring of the Dead, I don't know what is.

I'm late, but I'm keeping my word for Natsuiro Kiseki.

I agree with you on Natsumi reminding of Sayaka by a bit. I can see where you're coming from, as she's one of the two resident genki girls. With Natsumi as one and Yuka as the other, their differences being that Natsumi is more of a tsukkomi type genki girl, while Yuka is more of a boke type genki girl. Natsumi also has that kind of grin that only genki girls make.

As for the episode, I have to admit that the supernatural segment near the end took me by surprise. Wasn't expecting something like it, and it felt somewhat out of place for me for a show like that. Also not really a fan of conflict right off the bat, when I haven't yet had time to become comfortable with the characters. So, mixed feelings for episode 1, but I will continue watching. At least I thought the OP rocked.

That's what I think of Natsuiro Kiseki at the moment. Now let me make a request of you in turn, I'd like to know your thoughts on Tasogare Otome x Amnesia Episode 1, and on the character Kirie in particular (short black hair, and a familiar voice ). I would have also included a request for Sankarea because this season is the Spring of the Dead!, but I've already read your thoughts on it in the Sankarea thread.

These two titles are the favorites of mine I mentioned before that are getting an anime adaptation.

That's Urabe from Nazo no Kanajo X

Yes,the premise is weird as hell! most people would probably write it off based on that and the studio but so far it seems people that give it a go enjoy it,even if they don't always know why

Would be interesting to see how she does at saimoe, she's built as the anti-moe female lead yet comes across as moe in her own way.

Thanks but I think you make it sound better than reality ,though it's true I have more free time this season than I did the past few months.
In this particular case I just went up to ANN after I watched the show and wondered if someone from the staff was from shaft.

Manga readers claim Zetman is 15 volumes long and the adaptation is going to condense that into one season. idea how that will turn out.

Space Bros. fits in somewhere between Planetes and Chihayafuru for me. Gritty, masculine reality of the former and the youthful optimism of the latter.

Lupin: Fujiko Mine - For a few minutes, I thought it was a Shaft show...then I just sat back and lapped it up because it turned out not to be. It's so incredibly indulgent and gratuitous, but Fujiko is still allowed her class, allure and feminista like in the 70s series. I'll be amused to see how you find it.

So what have you seen so far this season? Lupin: Fujiko Mine and Space Brothers are definite continues for me. Zetman is a maybe.
