One thing I will say the episode did well was have an entertaining Knightmare battle. Once it was just hand to hand combat, it got really good I thought.

I wonder what was up with C.C. praying though. Still, there is no question he died. His last words say so. Damn it, I just feel like crap right now.

You're right!! Soon Taniguchi will announce they made an alternate ending!!! Seriously though, I want some damn answers.

Dead? His disease was shown to still be prevelent. It is really odd that they didn't even bother to show that he was dead.

Yeah, but maybe some extra materials or interviews were revealing something. I still want that damn name.

Well, the only thing that even makes me slightly believe he could possibly be alive is that Nunnally doesn't have the power to read people's minds like she did with Lelouch and that C.C. seemed way too happy considering what happened. If Taniguchi hints that it is open to our interpretation then I will go with the one I want no matter how silly it may be. I doubt that will happen though.

I would think that Taniguchi would feel very unsatisfied and it seems that he holds that opinion over this R2. It's amazing they managed to create and ending everyone could hate though.

Nope, nothing. Incredibly odd though there was a scene where Lelouch told Nunnally he loved her where her line could have fit in easily. This led people to believe that the promise between Lelouch and C.C. was simply dropped.

I was afraid you would have that view since everyone else seems to. And I'm sorry, but that isn't likely to happen for her at all and her ending is complete BS and I just feel absolutely miserable now.

It's not funny. It's not funny at all so stop saying it is.

Do you think that there is any possible chance the ending could be open to interpretation in regards to Lelouch's fate?

It disappointed me overall to be honest and if Lelouch is dead, then C.C. is doomed to eventually return to her old ways since she'll get tired of living. I don't like how she seems to be all alone now.

I'm generally asking everyone this: You agree the ending was essentially crap, right? There were some nice things about it, but essentially it was a rather poor ending?

Give me your thoughts on the other things later like the debate about Lelouch, if you would please.

But what am I talking about with C.C.? She'll get her smile and then die. After all, Lelouch said she needed to smile before she died, which was a death sentence right there and then. Lelouch will take her Code and live while she dies happily.

I'm still not sure what to think of him. I can't forgive him for what he did to Shirley out of pure jealousy and selfishness though perhaps in this show I shouldn't be so petty. Nina's whole thing I thought was actually done pretty well for the most part since you saw her grow as a character. Well, I honestly didn't want Rolo to die like Lelouch planned since it made Lelouch look worse.

Yes, behavior could have used more detail or more consistent treatment.

Exactly, which is why I think she deserves a happy ending. Also, I think it serves the themes of the show as well as the way everything has progressed to go with an LXC ending. Give her a chance to finally be happy and smile with someone who actually cares for her. And I don't get it either, but plenty of people do hate her and think she deserves to die for all she has done.

Yes, it was. And so many unexplained things still.

Yes, like how the Gawain was a commander unit not meant for the frontlines and how the Guren was designed for close combat. Well, it did get a bit out there, but it was pretty good considering things. The Shinkirou had its flaws as well, though in the end I think the Gawain may have been a bit better.

I know, though the SETEIN seems to have the craziest toys. The Albion actually isn't that well equipped.

Yes, we go to a disappointing ending that will make me sad.

Yeah, it seems that was how it is. Actually, Taniguchi originally wanted to have the end of episode 25 of S1 be the start of the show with everything after being a sort of flashback up until that point. He actually hated ending it like that and wanted to apologize for it, but they wouldn't let him. I was never comfortable with Rolo killing Shirley. That to me seemed to put him beyond redemption. He was alright, though I don't really think we needed anymore new characters in this already overstuffed cast.

He seemed to all over the place. Cold and ruthless one minute, kind and nice the next, all self-sacrificing, and just everywhere. It seems we will get a flashback with Lelouch and Suzaku that may explain their whole plan and such in 25 from screenshots. I agree on everything else you spoke of.

She seemed like she has lost all purpose and was shoved to the back though. I'd say that overall she has changed since she is more open with those around her, less aloof with everyone, and seems a bit more honest with herself like how she seems to feel about Lelouch if she does feel anything about him. It was mainly backstory though I suppose and also her seeming to realize that a part of her does want to live and experience happiness, which I think she wants to spend with Lelouch if possible. Or do you disagree with that?

I know. It doesn't seem important anymore and what annoys me is that we never got an explanation on what it really is, where it came from, and what it could truly do.It seemed to really be nothing more than a tool for Lelouch for most of the show though.

It doesn't work for the genre really. Super robot series are just fine since it is expected to have something like that. That's something that annoyed me for a lot of S1 of 00 for instance which was that CB had no challenge until the last few episodes. The battles actually seemed to somewhat be about tactics with just a few machines that were above average and even those had flaws to them. Like when Cornelia managed to beat Lelouch down in 25 despite his machine being superior in terms of technology. As soon as I saw what the SEITEN was doing, I was just disappointed since it was simply too powerful. I also like the Albion's design for some reason, which is odd since I was never really that fond of Lancelot. I did like the Shinkirou though.

And they were just fun to watch as well.
