Oh, not really. I was curious as to what came after "Remember, remember..." in your title since the first thing that came to mind was a line from V for Vendetta. I expect my worse fears will be confirmed tonight.

They don't seem to talk as much as the haters though.

Like you don't know witch one I like the most? ^^

I haven't asked you this, Mister.

    1. There was Shirley with her so ever lasting one sided high school crush and that entire Mao back story. It was obvious that there will be something wrong with that. Firstly, Lelouch treated her as a friend and was determined to protect her from being mixed up with his second life. If he wasn't cornered by Sayoko and Shirley’s fall from the stairs in Cupid Day, he would never actually agree to involve her. Secondly, there’s Geass and her ever so fragile Geass order that obviously wasn’t gonna last. I feel that it was done to set things up for her death, although I don’t think it was necessary. So overall that was a dead end since the beginning and did serve mostly as a comedy relief up until her death witch would’ve effected things the same way even without any romance being involved.

Me I think that Okouchi was unfair with her. He killed her while there were a lot more things to say and do. I mean, "the love is power" discussion was totally forgotten. She said to him that she will make him fall in love with her, and then? She dies. They wasted her character, and it was cruel.

And I think that she would have become lelouch's LI if she had survived this. Lelouch said something after her death, that he tends to realize some things when it's too late. So I guess he realized that he loved her, but she was already dead. That was a very sad story.

    2. There’s Kallen. Well, this one is a bit more developed although I personally think that it was a total waste of screen time. As Dann nicely put it Lelouch always considered her a dear friend. But the whole Kalulu society repeatedly saw something there. You know, what I mean? It’s always like if Kallen expresses interest, than it’s done and no one will never even ask Lelouch what he thinks or feels coz no one cares. Also there was always this thing with her brother flying around witch gives a really negative vibe in terms of romance. But the main thing about this pairing is that most Kalulu supporters are so centralized on Kallen and almost obsessed with her character that they almost forgot the other half. Lelouch is repeatedly being dragged along and whatever he’s doing or saying is considered a hidden expression of love. I personally think that this one is too at most one sided and Lelouch sees Kallen as a dear friend and cares about her very much, but there is nothing romantic on his part.

I will not say that there is absolutely nothing romantic on his part, but it's true that too much people think that if kallen loves him, he will obviously love her too. But Love doesn't work this way. You can love someone more than everything, but that will not mean that he/she will love you in return.

    3. Finally there’s our C.C. and if you want me to start on this I can write a lot, but since we both are high ranking officials in Clu Clu Federation and already discussed most things in our briefings… ^^

Poor C.C., I'm so sure that she loves him, but I wonder if she will tell him.... I think so, but something tells me that it will be too late when she will try to express her feelings.

What I’m really not happy about is that they went with this multitude of possibilities instead of choosing one line and sticking to it. Again that was just broth up at my conversation with Dann. I would’ve been amazing if there was a single character to be pared with Lelouch. It would’ve been really different also, but I’d liked that so much more. And the whole romance plot would’ve been developed a lot more.

True. And in my eyes, they wasted all the development toward lelouch that c.c. gained in R1. But eh.... we can't do anything about that =(

But that doesn't change anything, I still think that the show will end with a KxL moment. What are your thoughts about the pairings?

I wish we had gotten Lelouch and Suzaku's as well.

I know, but it still sort of gives that vibe and C.C. was amusing and cute like that. I honestly am not sure if anyone other than Lelouch ever interacted with her except for Kallen that one time. It seems he wanted to not let others know and also not risk scaring C.C. in her current state. The only episode that seemed to delve into the whole thing of her personality was 16, which I felt also had that nice scene after he accidently knocked her down. And that odd band-aid. I feel they could have done a lot more with it, but it felt odd and cheap how she got her memory back and it almost seemed to make the entire thing completely pointless. Still, I think it seems clear that they are likely to go with a LXK ending with everything going on the way it is. Narona's opinion is that Okouchi may have originally been intending C.C. to be the one to end up with with Lelouch, hence the scenes with them. Then they changed their minds for whatever reason, made that comment on there being no romance, and pursued Kallen for whatever reason in R2.

C.C. is going to die though. She has to die for the sake of LXK. She'll be on the Damocles when it is destroyed and that will be when she finally dies to the joy of most of the people here.

I know!! It seemed like Charles was actually becoming a less bitter person due to Marianne and then V.V. had to get all jealous and kill her. The entire situation was odd and I found it cruel with that they did to Nunnally. Marianne seemed insane though. I know she was always the feisty type, but she really seemed to have a screw loose and I think that Lelouch's mother could have been said to have really died that night.

Really? I suppose that may be the case since I always found your arguments and such similar to mine except of course my depressing habits. I try to rely on logic most of the time, but often my emotions get the better of me. And I agree about needing to channel that part of us that is a hopeless romantic somewhere and things like that can be perfect for it. I honestly wish this show had stuck to one girl instead of going through several since to me it serves no real purpose and you get a much better resulting romance than you do with situations like this. I hope for the best, but I find it unlikely.

I agree. I'm just such a die hard fan if the original. ^^ But anyways it's still Blizzard and that guarantees the top notch quality.

Well, Blizzard is well know because the time they take to develop a game is............... <_<. I wouldn't be surprised if D3 is released in 2010 or 2011 >_>

Anyways, we got a little sidetracked, don't you think? ^~

But it was funny to talk about something else than CG

I was just discussing with Dann the scene in 23 and it was reminiscent for both of us of the scene in the very beginning of R2. Remember the moment where Lelouch meets C.C again? When she got shoot at that time she murmed “Lelouch” with the same intonation. If someone spoke my name like that I would’ve just melted right away. ^^ Every time they have an intimate scene it holds such a tremendous impact! In comparison even with kissing scene for the Kalulu fans, this one had, at least for me, so much more depth and meaning.

I have the same opinion as you, however, some might say that we are biased.

Anyway, me I really see that scene as romantic, very romantic, even more than some kiss scenes. You don't need a kiss or a sex scene to make a very romantic scene with a deep emotional impact.

XD Yeah it sounds like telling a horror story

But it's the main point of the series, to scare the player a bit, like in the Resident Evil series XD

But we can also talk about the gameplay. Diablo 2, at least in term of H&S game, was never topped imo. The gameplay was very good. That's the best hack & slash game I played on the PC :O

And the original was a lot scarier by the way^^

I played it a bit. Tristram is indeed very scary. I remember the church with the red bloody glowing light. It was very scary

Also if you want to be always up to date with everything concerning the progress of D3 I recommend to check out it’s a great fan site. Miles, who created it is just amazing as are everyone there.

Thanks for the link, I will check it weekly

Me I can't wait to be able to play Diablo 3 ^o^ I really like the diablo series. I spent some times recently to read the infos and the summaries on the new website. It was so interesting and I loved to be able to watch again the movies from Diablo II.

Diablo II was a great game. I don't really like that kind of games (it scares me ) but it was a great experience

Dorothea......... Taniguchi is really a brat

Perhaps it is a little silly, but some are absolutely desperate for any hints to the show that they can get. I suppose I might be one of those people. The lines can be interesting to speculate under what circumstances they would come about though.

I recall someone mentioning the idea before so it may very well have been you. People, and myself to some degree, tend to regard the time with her memory loss to have been more for the sake of fanservice than anything else since getting her memories back seemed to serve little purpose as amusing as it was. Some noted that it showed that she still grew close and attached to him even without her memories. It did reflect the level of which Geass affected her as a person though given how utterly different they were. I think the whole thing makes her more deserving of a good ending as well along with that whole true wish thing that was brought up that episode. I also found it sort of funny that it seems the main reason she sealed herself away was because of what Lelouch said making her uncomfortable though it also may have been the shock of refusing the chance to die. And I agree on Kallen as well, which is why I think C.C. should finally get her chance but it seems doubtful at this point. I honestly think a good ending for Kallen would be to show her with her mother.

Well, the part about the true wish seemed to be something she had buried inside of herself since the weird inner C.C. said it was something that was at the bottom of her heart. I'd hope it would come up as well, but I'm not sure if it really will. C.C. seemed to just give up after a while and Charles and Marianne probably affected things as well with their ideas. I honestly think that Charles and Marianne would probably have turned out very differently had the attack not happened. Before it seemed to be hinted that Charles was moving away from the idea of changing the world like that due to Marianne, but the it seemed that they were both a bit crazy by the end.

I am not either to be honest and I agree entirely. I still want an explanation on what exactly Geass is and where it even comes from. That explanation for God was rather odd too, but then I wasn't that surprised when they left it vague as to what would happen since that was what happened in GxS to some degree. Well, we don't know what he wanted to do in that direction, but there seem to be a few plotlines he didn't get into at all like Suzaku's link to Geass, Kallen's father, and that bit about someone in Cecile's past. Maybe 5 more episodes would have done it, but I'm not sure.

Hmm, you are right that it did have that similarity to the first episode of R2. I honestly always loved that scene where she utters his name like that since there seemed to be a lot in the tone of voice there. The whole scene was very nice, especially the bit where she laid her head back, rested her hand on his, and then opened up her eyes in what seemed like realization. The whole kissing scene sort of felt odd to be honest. There was an interview with Kallen's VA where she said Taniguchi mentioned this was where she realized that she loved Lelouch, but her VA also seemed very surprised that there was any romance at all between Lelouch and Kallen. I think the thing with Kallen is that there is just something that is missing that I felt was there with C.C. and even Shirley. Lelouch and Kallen do look good together, but really looking at it has it make less sense to me. If Taniguchi does go with her in the end, I wish he had spent more time making it believable. Glad you liked it anyway.
