Oh yes, BUG mod. You know, I couldn't play mods that don't have it integrated even if they're very, very good. And there are a lot of good mods for Civ4.

The "fort obsession" as you put it drove me crazy when I had the workers automated. It's the default behavior to build forts over resources outside of a city's zone, but I was like, "That takes longer! And they look ugly! Damn it all, I'll do it myself."

For me forts are really only useful for the Panama canal type of situation. Build fort here, avoid a trip 'round the Americas. That is useful, but the automated AI doesn't even consider that sort of thing anyway. :-I

On the subject of improving tiles, which ones do you prioritize first, aside from resources? Food, production, or commerce? For that matter, what's the best improvement for a flood plain?

Cottages I like, though, they're really powerful when you're running a synergistic Suffrage-Free Speech-Emancipation Sid Meier's Certified (tm) Liberal Paradise [Free Religion and Environmentalism recommended]. A bit late game, but it takes time for them to evolve anyway, and as suckage as I am I know enough to at least try and build them in the "inner empire" and guard the area with fast response forces.

Your last advice on the cities thing is something I cannot accept, however. Nothing to do with practicality, just my being anal about it, and my inherent love for super-cities (those mods that gave me chances to have the third tile worked on? Paradise!). I should play RFC more to shed the habit, I hear it tends to force players to break this particular impulse or die.

First half is one big cocktease. Always hinting toward an event that's going to happen later, people being saved from impossible situations due to some bullshit, the heroes never taking the final blow when they can because they're stupid, Saber supposedly being the most powerful servant and class but consistently plot-owned...etc. I'm expecting a lot from the second half with all of this build up.

It's a very character-driven story too, from what I see. The war always seems to come second to personal conflicts and goals, which means a lot of inaction time and dialogue sequences. Not a bad thing at all; we're slowly learning what everyone wants from the Grail, and some don't even want it at all. This kind of thing is more my cup of tea than just swords flying everywhere. But since we get that too, it's an awesome ride all around.

Least favorite character is probably Kiritsugu. Very cold in his actions and mannerisms, I don't agree with a lot of what he does (EX: due to a difference in ideals, he refuses to acknowledge or respond to Saber in conversation, which is stupid). Only bit of humanity we see in him is from what Irisviel tells us about him, but when he's on screen, he has no presence at all.

Overall, good characters, interesting plot, OP and ED are unskippable. Solid B-Class anime IMO.

Yup. even if i openly said i dislike BTF that doesn't mean i hated it and even then i can appreciate some good stuff from Nanya's work some times, it's just that our tastes are pretty different at some points.

For example, probably you guys think i'm a gutless goody good because i'm not on the boat of those who like fanservice on your fanfiction, i do crnk smile at cunning spicy jokes from time to time but i'm not fond of seeing characters derailed for the sake of fanservice(i can understand Hayate, Shari or more or less Shamal but when the likes of Fate and Arisa are involved into that kind of stuff i get unsettling feelings instead of laughs).

Other think that Nanya is very good with but i don't follow him is his level of "DARK" on his stories, well he openly admitted he likes to torture characters so there's few for me to add, it's just my personal taste(and of course when Signum's turn at the bat comes i feel insecure xDU).

We also can't agree on power levels, i admitedly only watched Slayers to the end of NEXT but i think i have a clear grasp of what slayers-vers magic can do and it's very unbalanced(regular spells are mostly weaker than in Nanohaverse but bigger final spells are a lot more powerfull xD), but again that comes more as personal tastes clashing against each other xDU. Still he do come up with interesting ideas about the combination of their magics but most of the time i feel an aura of superiority coming from slayersverse magic(but probably that's just me).

What i grew to like about him are the emotional interaction between characters, whe they aren't in a pit of darkness of stealing each other's panties i can appreciete very good narrative and even if some of them are OOC at times they feel believable. I can feel their grieve, hapiness, sadness or excitement. I was quite shocked at what he prepared for Signum, i don't like keeping my toughts to myself so i questioned some stuff trying to not being picky(i can think about two or three ways in what Signum can deal with the overpowered BTF Cinque and about 7 or 8 she can do it with Canon Cinque, but i guess Nanya won't let a rematch to happen xDU). But after the pain weared down a little i get amused at the possibilities(Signum crippled and growing in frustration while engulfed by darkness xD) and i'm waiting at how Nanya will handle this(i feel guilty at the irony because i think it's my fault Naya got so harsh on Signum in first place xDU), i know it won't be pretty but i know Nanya also disliked how the Force-manga is handled so i think he will develop her differently from Tsuzuki.

...as long as he don't take the easy way of giving her bionic parts i'll be fine xD. Not only because of preference(i don't like seeing Signum being too relaint of other stuff aside of her own awesomeness, Agito and Laevatein ...and only recently started to accept reliance on Agito xD) but also because in canon, bionic implants are impossible for Mid-Childan science, it's one of the very reasons of why there are so few Cyborgs and of why Scaglietty is considered a genius, an individual must be genetically manipuled from birth to have acces to bionic parts, otherwise the body will reject it. But well, it's Nanya's fic, not mine, i guess if he decides to go that path with Signum he will think of some applied phlebotinum to allow her body to use such stuff.

I like seeing heroes having conflict from time to time but also like to seeing them being awesome at what they do better. Probably is my main clashing with Nanya's style.

So, in resume, no, i don't "hate" BTF i just have differences with some aspects of the fic. Even if i generally don't like it it's still amusing in it's own way so i'll follow it each time it touches a topic i that catches my attention.

....sorry for the wall of text xDU.

Are you implying there were actually Episodes 12 and 13?!

All I remember is Irisviel losing strength, some freaking sea monster...AND LOTS OF RANTING....

Those don't deserve to be classified as episodes. I'm freaking ready to drop F/Z if it doesn't belt up when it returns.

Yeah, it sucks, i may commited mistakes in the past and probably commit some more in the future but at least i want to be judged by my own actions and opinions instead of others's xDU.

By the way, why Ponies are so damn powerfull? Rainbow Dash can curbstomp Nanoha, a pony can take the Ace of Aces down from the sky, a pony xDU.

Hah, thought so, knowing your tastes in anime.

Nana Mizuki? Damn. I need to pay more attention to voice actors of whatever anime I'm watching...

High School DxD probably, for the most part this season I'm finishing/watching second seasons of other anime. Senki Zesshō Symphogear too I guess, tho I'm honestly just following anything I can get my hands on. Compared to the goddamn TV reruns here...anything is goddamn entertaining. (And almost every show my friends suggest either in real life or Facebook are either something I watched before or some kind of reality show, not really interested in that mind you.)

So...how about you? I know your tastes are, er, harder to satisfy than mine...heheh...

Yah, it's ridiculous. I'll probably grab Complete eventually, though not right before a college semester. You know, books. X(

What I fear the most regarding Civ5 is how the one unit-per-plot works out. It sounds like a really, really bad idea just to counter the stacking problem. Lots of things can be improved over patches and expansions and mods, but such a fundamental issue is pretty hard to get around...

My suckage in Civ4 has a really simple reason which you nailed right away: I'm lazy! And kind of inefficient. Although I learned to manage my own workers, for the cosmetic reason that I got reaaaal annoyed at workers creating forts (which takes forever, and kinda ugly) to gain resources out of a city's radius, I still am not very good at optimizing them beyond "Wheat - farm now, then link to city - river plains - cottage (if running a cottage economy)." I'm especially bad at chopping, which is why it was good to see you at work against that huge jungle in your game and see how you timed them. Another thing is that I often get too lazy to micromanage specialists in cities, and that's a big part of the game especially since Civ4 is optimized for specialized cities, even in a cottage economy game.

Though, to be honest, even if I suck at it, I think the specialized cities model of Civ4 is considerably better balanced than old school, and apparently Civ5's (what were they thinking?) legendary city spam.
