    Long time no read~!

I'm sure you've probably heard already, but

    EAT

    SLEEP

    BREAK THE STREAK

    21-1

If this was Mark's retirement match, it wasn't a good way to go. It just felt anticlimatic and surprising at the same time. It wasn't convincing.

Ric Flair had a better last match against HBK back at WM24.

    Flair.

    Seriously.

And of course, Lesnar isn't working. Again. Meanwhile with the CM Punk chants...

Things are about to get super ugly for me schedule wise, but of your list I'll probably be keeping up with Soredemo, Brynhildr and One Week Friends. The rest will probably be rather "time willing".

I think One Week Friends suffered a bit from launching when I'm in exams mode... I'm normally quite tolerant of slow paced shows, but around exams I tend to be a little less focused when watching than usual - even though I tend to only watch during meal breaks.

And an episode of info-dumping with that weak not-battle at the end was pretty meh.
Interesting... this was actually my biggest complaint about the Mahouka opener. I'm not going to claim the competition - I'm thinking here of other action shows with at least one prominent cute girl in them like Black Bullet or Hitsugi no Chaika - are brilliant shows, but they had far more engaging openers.

I haven't actively followed this stuff for more than 10 years but I must say (People care about wrestling? I hope at least Triple R reads about this and cares ) ; it's standard practice for an established star to pass the torch so to speak on their way out to someone that had a future with the business. When it comes to something this huge, anything short of epic is a disgrace. It needs to mean something that will last. As much as I hate to say this, even the Rock losing to Cena makes more sense than this. If they wanted to let someone break the streak it could have been Punk (ties in with last year) or Bryan since he seems popular. Or if you want someone already there to make a spectacle, it could have been Jericho (can't have good things right?) In any case, one can't cling to the past and they should build up what they have instead of clinging on to a bunch of aging stars-- that's how WcW went down the shitter, and I hear that other TNA crap tried to use Hogan.... lol.

Lesnar has no future with the company and has time and again proved that he doesn't care and will leave when he doesn't feel like it. Yes, they want to go for the mainstream stuff and they could make good use for it well, but do you really think they have the foresight to do, well anything off this? I think I know them well enough.

Funny how the Rock left for better prospects yet stays loyal to the company anyways, giving up a lot from his returns, yet gets bashed to high heavens for daring to move on with his life when his body won't let him proceed, and yet this overrated as hell Lesnar gets nuthugged because he got his hastily thrown together push in order to secure a new star. That lasted long didn't it? It worked great with that Batista guy right? Those who can't remember history, well...

Oh well, Undertaker's name will be eternal. In a few years, That other guy will be known as a good MMA fighter who ended the streak. What was his name again?

And this has nothing to do with nostalgia. It's the company itself that's stuck in the past.

Thanks for the info. Well, to be fair, it did have an interesting first episode. I actually liked the bit where the girl got her knee stuck in the drain and almost died. It's strange, sure, but it's also pretty different, so I liked that scene.

I will be sticking with Brynhildr for at least the three-episode try. Kuroneko does show a lot of promise.

I'm slowly making my way through the new Spring 2014 shows.

I liked the first episodes for WIXOSS, Captain Earth, and Akuma no Riddle. All three have very nice/stylish visuals, so at least I'll be in for a good visual treat even if the stories don't hold up that well.

I'm loving the Love Live! sequel, as its pretty much just what I want in a more upbeat show.

I'll be checking out Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei later tonight.

Any shows you want to recommend? I'm open to a suggestion or two, at least.

That's fine, but why Lesnar of all people?

No real legacy to build, no careers to set up.

It is, but selfishly it would be nicer to know a publisher was willing to translate all her novels into English...

I'm really glad too. Sometimes you feel the awards are just a meaningless gesture, but hey sometimes faith gets rewarded.

Also, Shinkai's working on something again.

Thanks a lot for that! It might be awhile before I reply to it though, just so you know.

Today was busy for me between a Montreal Canadiens hockey game and Thursday being my biggest anime-watching day of Winter 2014.
