I like the early Queen albums best songs in my opinion are Seven Seas of Rhye, March of the Black Queen and Ogre Battle, anything on Queen II really.

Cool you have an iPhone, white or black version? So which is your favourite band?

Ah, the reason for that is that I only list bands that have multiple songs that interest me. If they can't hold my interest for at least one album's worth of music, I don't really put them on my iPhone^.^

Genesis was close, but not close enough for me. I'm just a hardcore fan of bands that sound "classic rock".

Whoa that is a list!!!!!! I notice Genesis is missing from that list. How can you not like early Genesis the Peter Gabrial years. Even worse I have just realised Hawkwind is not on there, silver machine is great! (looks condescendingly as only a true music snob can, rather like an antiquarian bookshop owner when you ask if they stock manga).

    Radiohead (the bends)
    Foo Fighters (Learn to fly)
Supergrass (Any Album they are all great)
    Offspring (Americana)
    Goldfrapp (Seventh Tree)
    KT Tunstall (Drastic Fantastic)
    and many many more

I got the stings off when I realised but I think the damage is done. What you don't want to be a rock star (Insert recoil with horror here). Cool that you play lead guitar though, which bands do you like?

Oh dear, I see where the problem lies^.^ Yes, acoustic strings are usually thicker than electric strings - quite noticeable between my two guitars

I do take a few music classes in university, but my primary studies are in accounting. I'm just not interesting playing music as a profession - I'd much rather play for the personal enjoyment

I do play lead guitar in a rock band and I have 7 grades of worth of piano certificates, so I'm quite happy about that

Definitely, its actually a mid range guitar (not the best) but a family friend fitted acoustic strings by mistake once and it has never worked well since then. You certainly can play a lot of instruments. Surprised you haven't studied music at college/uni.

Thank you~ Your stories are quite good too, very medieval-like

I've been playing a variety of instruments over my life: piano since 4, violin since 6 (not so much anymore), clarinet since 11, trumpet since 15, and guitar since 18. Because of that experience, guitar didn't take me more than a year to get the basics down pat^.^

Tuning can be a pain for guitarists, especially if you have a guitar that is tuned with holding springs. Cheaper guitars don't hold tuning very long, and will actually change out of tune by themselves. Quite a pain, really.
