Hmm ... I'd be interested to see that too to be honest! That would be ... something.

And speaking of things I'd be interested to see, your profile series you are following is still in the Fall 2014 season. Still mulling over what to commit to? This is kinda fresh in my mind since I finally nailed down my early season rankings and the like this evening, you see....

One good thing about a slow season is that it gives you time to catch up on other series, I guess. And slice away at your backlog.

    Umm ... that's a tuba. -_-

Moe tuba is not your thing, I see....

Ahhh ... okay, I see. Hmm. Well, in that case I guess it is just a matter of preference. I think Shirobako is very good, but Akatsuki is great.

And btw ... this is for you to cheer you up in those sad and depressed times when you feel no one understands you.

Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

Yuuki Yuuna has some nice BGM, most of the magical girls scenes also have a neat colour drenched look that reminds me of stuff like Sakurasou and No Game No Life.

The show itself is kind of like Madoka, but more relaxed. The magical girl stuff is interspersed with SoL and there's a slow, deliberate buildup to the climax (Ironically, it's first volume sales have followed a similar pattern - from 4.7K first week to breaking the 10K barrier).

You do not like Akatsuki no Yona?

Actually I am kinda surprised by that ... ah well ... your loss.

... As much as I like both of the Inubouzaki sisters, you have to admit that it's the imouto's transformation that reached "so cute I died" levels of moe right?

BTW in Triple_R's Christmas themed crossover fic, the scene where I transform from moe scholar (0utf0xZer0) to magical fox loli (m0ef0xZer0) is a homage to that scene.

I thought your brother was into little petite girls

Yeah, my favourite characters tend to be petite, although I also dig characters with a "cuddly" figure too (Kotomi, Chisaki, maybe Hanekawa although she's a bit bookish for it).

Of course, some of my favourite characters totally break that mold as well. Like Hitagi.

Me too. Aldnoah Zero after a promising first season (except the last episode) is turning more and more into the new Guilty Crown. It's just that manipulative with its characters and viewers. Before I was looking forward to each episode, now it aired two days ago and still haven't watched it, giving priority to other shows.

Shigatsu may be too heavy for people not too accustomed with drama and I can understand that. Of course that is my cup of tea albeit seeing Kaori suffering is painful.

I would take 2009-10 over the last two years in a heartbeat, personally. And 2015 is off to a terrible start, though at least on paper Spring looks as if it could be tolerable.

I was looking at my output from Spring 2012 the other day, and I was blogging 20 shows that season - and could have blogged even more. If you want to be depressed about where the industry is now, that will do it to you. There were at least 8 shows airing that season that were better than anything airing now, or anything in 2014 not named H x H or Mushishi.

Honestly, I don't ever recall being optimistic (or being accused of it). It was easier not to be morbid in a year like 2012, obviously, but the future of the medium always worried me even then. When the evidence is as clear as it is (probably the two worst anime seasons in a decade back to back) and so many industry insiders are breaking the taboo and crying wolf, you have to face facts and not shoot the messenger.

I would certainly say there's a synergistic relationship between the anime and music/idol (I'm not sure there's a difference any more) industry in driving the artistic train into the ditch. They're feeding off each other.
