The last three don't fit the moe comedy genre the way Minami-Ke does but I got the impression that you'd gotten some laughs out of them, so I was using them as a reference.

I still think the request is hard. The general rule is you tend to dislike the genre, with some exceptions like Minami-Ke and Chuunibyou (let's see: MAL scores 6 and above... Tamako Market, the first season of Boku wa Tomodachi, Kannagi, Fumoffu, Natsu no Arachi, Maria Holic, and Lucky Star (wow, that is a lot of Kyoto, especially when you consider Kannagi is kind of ex-Kyoto)). About all I can really derive from that is you're looking for something for something more towards the humour end of the focus on humour v focus on cuteness scale.

Among 2013 shows, Kotoura-san would be my top choice despite some spectacular drama failures. The first episode could probably serve as a dark horse challenger to AnoHana for sheer melodrama.

Among other 2013 moe comedies, I'd probably rank them as follows having regard to your tastes, as best I can figure them out:
    Love Lab
Outbreak Company (far better than the average otaku reference comedy)
Non Non Biyori (above average humour for a mixed humour/cute show IMO)
C3-Bu (AKA Girls Und Airsoft - good starting episode, but was losing strenght where I left off)
    Yuyushiki (too cutesy)
    Kiniro Mosaic (much too cutesy)

Haven't seen enough Going Home Club or GJ-Bu to give much in the way of impressions.

Or you could got for something a little older. There's a few shows I think you'd like the humour in, including the aforementioned Seitokai Yakuindomo (guy goes to formerly all-girls school, ends up playing straight man to girls who like to talk about pervy stuff - it took me a few episode to get into, then I really liked it), Inu x Boku SS (Ririchiyo is essentially a straight man in loli form and my favourite character of 2012), or Otome Youkai Zakuro (gets some good laughs out of playing shoujo style romantic flourishes ironically).

Just so you know, if you're looking for more flamboyance and zaniness then there's also Yozakura Quartet currently airing. It's similar to Kyousogiga and Uchouten Kazoku in that its zaniness is normalcy in its setting. It's a complete reboot so you don't need to watch the other instalments to understand it.

Man, this hasn't been a great year for me actually finishing moe comedies (there's a lot I watched half way), let along ones I could recommend to you given what I think I know of your tastes in moe comedy - ie. some sort of mixture of Minami-Ke/Natsuiro Kiseki/Ano Natsu de Matteru/Kure-nai.

Hmmm... I keep wondering if you'd find some decent "lulz" in Kotoura-san (due to the excessive melodrama) or OreShura (due to the fact some of the girls' antics are actually kind of mean spirited). Hataraku Maou-Sama and Love Lab also seem to have gotten above average receptions.

Come to think of it... Seitokai Yakuindomo (not to be confused with Ichizon) counts as current because they keep putting out a couple OVAs a year, right? I'd honestly be interested in your reaction to a few episodes of that.

Still haven't formed a strong impression yet on Kyousogiga myself.

I'd recommend avoiding the White Album 2 thread though. There seems to be an awful lot of VN players keen to give hints.

It's absolutely brilliant. I loved it since I saw the OVA episode way back and I'm loving it now. The only problem is that it's so difficult to talk about. It's probably my favourite of the season and yet I still haven't made a single post about it in the thread.

Kill la Kill has its moments, but I would certainly agree it's nothing special so far. Ultimately that makes it a disappointment.

    j/k about Space Dandy, BTW!

No Japanese track, though - it's going to be English with Japanese subs even on Japanese TV.
