Well, at least YOU understand the humor of the Super Best Friends. It's hilarious how easy it is for them to troll fans who are as self-serious about anime (or have the obsessive need to correct "facts" that were intentionally stated wrong) as the people who post here. They're actually coming to a local convention next month and I'm really looking forward to meeting them as I've followed their stuff for years. I'm going to ask them to sign "Your waifu is shit" on the box of my Persona 4 Yukiko figure because I actually have a sense of humor and don't get offended by people joking about my favorite anime characters.

You know, I don't think I've ever actually understood anything that Firefly guy posts... I think his entire mind is trapped in some sort of crossover fanfic with all the random unrelated references he makes in every post, lol.

It isn't. It is related in the economic sense but not the medieval or wolf-girl sense. I don't think the author could have done that context twice.

Thought this might be relevant to your interests.

The person behind Spice and Wolf had managed to get a game related to it - World End Economica - to be on the Greenlight section of Steam. If enough people support it, the game will be made available on Steam in 3 installments.

Tell anyone you think would want to know to help make this happen.

Yeah, I think the way to win was to conquer a certain % based on difficulty or starting year, then hold Kyoto for a set period of time. Though, with that % always being over 50% regardless and thus everyone else being against you, that's pretty analogous to having to kill everyone else anyway. I don't believe there was any sort of diplomatic victory at all. Even your vassals' territory didn't count as your own.

Yeah, I always hated that system. I understand they may have needed to do it from a difficulty perspective but it totally undermines the diplomacy and vassal systems (seriously, why would you ever make anyone a vassal instead of just wiping them out when they are 100% guaranteed to turn on you later) and makes no sense from a flavor perspective. Especially in this game where "honor" is supposed to be a major factor. Turns everyone who yells at you about honor and then inevitably stabs you in the back into a massive hypocrite.

When you reach 50% of the required territories, everyone immediately declares war on you or has their opinion of you drop steadily every turn until they also declare war on you, including allies and vassals. That was the term they used to refer to it back when I was playing 2 years ago.
