Flit wasn't the one who designed the AGE System itself, he only inherited it from his mother; it was the Gundam's physical structure itself that he built. And Madorna only slapped big boosters and beam sabers on a Shaldoll to make the G-Exes; doesn't take a whole lot of effort to accomplish that.

It also proves it doesn't take 25 years to build something that can be useful against the Vagans.

I dunno if you need to go that far for that point. Just slap dods-rifle to zalam and euba units and they're good to go.

But they're talking about making standardized units for EFF. You know, like uniforms...

Sure, there's nothing wrong with that.

Aside from the G-Exes, the Genoaces and the Fardain Faction suitswith beam sabers and DODS weapons are pretty decent actually back in Ambat (both of them directly from the AGE-1's arsenal). We know it's possible to make Vagan-fightable suits, one example we know off would be Madorna's Shaldoll, the problem would be getting enough of suits of that caliber. The Vagan's quick evolving-react technology-method thingy will probably make things harder too as they evolve their technology to contrast AGE System and EF development (one known example of this was the creation of Electromagnetic Armor which was a direct response to the AGE-1's DODS technology)

Still, I do agree that it's a bit weird for the Adeles to have taken that long for that reason alone, since the Adeles are for all intents and purposes mass production AGE-1s without the AGE System (and the AGE-1 already exists). I can understand the long development time if it's a matter of getting AGE-1 technology/design cheap enough for full mass production scale (that's what I've assumed to this point) but I don't see how deciphering the AGE System has to do with completing the Adeles when the AGE-1 is physically itself is right over there in the flesh.

On a related note, this "EF haven't/have a hard time deciphering the AGE System" has been mentioned before, namely by Zeheart when he's talking about the AGE System Core with other Vagans and how destroying or capturing the AGE Gundam would help them a great deal against the EF. I think it was either episode 20 or 21.

Rising Dragon 2012-06-02 17:49

Add in Algreus' remark about the Federation's pride being too great to really accept the AGE System and its creations. That said, the deciphering is, for my guess, the AGE System playing a role in trying to make the AGE-1 tech cheap enough for mass production.

No one likes to spend money in a Gundam series it seems.

I don't know, statement-wise the way summary is posted made it sound like it's a case of trying to unlock the mysterious AGE System (like jailbreaking a locked iPhone I guess) rather than the AGE System trying to actually do something even if I think what you're saying is the far more logical scenario.

I'm kinda curious on whether we're gonna get more elaboration on this. That might help greatly on giving it more context. I'm also curious on whether the AGE System is involved with that other model who lost the competition, because I assume the timeframe of both suits are similar.

Nobody likes to spend money period or has to be very careful about how they spend it. There's always a finite amount of resources available against an infinite amount of human desires and needs.

Algreus' line in the 33rd episode stream said "improving" the Age System and his tablet displays "data sharing policy". For three generations, the only I/O of the system are gundams (and to some extend the Diva). Maybe now that they're reconsidering Flit's offer, the EFF are going to produced non-MS Age System related hardware (detectors, printers and such).

Holy shit guys, the Dark Hound's wing binders actually swivel! This thing just got more awesome. Now all it needs is an official picture of its transformation.

faceroll 2012-06-02 21:45

i bet it looks even better in the anime. (the head shape and design looks weird)
and also it kinda remind me of the astray Gold frame Amatsu of Gundam seed astray. just a little.

The wing binders swivelling is actually carried over from the AGE-2 Normal, which also has that feature, since they use the very same shoulders afterall. For some reason however, modellers hardly use that feature for the HG AGE-2 Normal and move just the wings themselves.

I meant front to back, and not side to side movement. I wonder if they can function as shields, we'll see in today's episode.

Can it still transfrom into Strider mode? From my perspective, it lost that ability.

I question the effectiveness of the hook weapons. Other than grabbing, I don't think it's all that effective.

EDIT: Saw the Strider mode. It hasn't lost it yet.

EDIT2: Looks those hooks can be electrified. That levels up the effectiveness.

Yup. Wonder how the HG's going to transform though, with the white part in its chest.

Oh, and the Dark Hound's "eye patch" is actually a visor:

EDIT: Ghirarga full burst mode? :heh:

And it seems that they changed his Seiyuu. Pity, I liked Eguchi Takuya's voice.

Exactly what I was talking about. The AGE-2 Normal's shoulder binders can swivel front-to-back too. And looking at some past images of the HG, some of Ebikawa's personal pics of the model kit actually show the feature.

I like the new voice for the older, pirate version of Asem. Atleast that's one of the few things they've change; I was expecting a leg stump earlier. Maybe the right eye was a glass/enhanced one (they kept covering it but it was shown in the updated OP3).
