Garyuu's a summon. A bit different from a familiar, actually.

felix 2007-06-30 11:11

So Friedo would be both a familiar and a summon. :heh:
I think they are all familiars in their own special way.

It seems that fried actually more like a pet dragon.Caro said at one point that she raised him and he hatched from egg.

Well, the two are bound to eachother, so it's no miracle that Caro raised Fried from an egg.

hmm what should we called him then  ^^ clearly not a summon or familiar.

Jimmy C 2007-06-30 13:37

Here's a thought, we don't know how she got the egg in the first place. That could have been the summon.

If the egg was a summon, then Fried would have the same qualities of a summon, which he didn't.

And if those two aren't related, it still doesn't explain what Fried should be known as :p

I'm wondering....what's Mid-Childan year 0075 translate to in Earth years?

Going by dates, the first 2 series are implied to take place in 2005 (1st series in Spring 2005, A's in December 2005). StrikerS takes place 10 years after, therefore it's most likely equivalent to 2015 in Earth years. But that's just a guess. The year the first 2 series take place in isn't ever stated, just implied.

The difference seems to be that Summons can't take but Familiars can but both kinds can still interact with their masters.

My personal belief is that a Familiar is a constant while a summon is temporary that could be dismissed.

Familiars would always be draining a portion of her master's magic source, I'm not so sure about summons, but even if they do drain, it's most likely only when they're called forth.

I'll leave Chaos or Kha to write a long winded essay on this....

I'll give a serious answere. It first I watched it since I was bored and the great animation from the first few eps of season one and Fate came along... Then for A's just watch the first two eps....

Umm I'll try to answer some of this.. feel free to back me up guys... :heh:

Heres a picture that explains it...click here, the pictures at the top of the page

Don't let the 'Mahou Shojou' in the name put you off.. It's just a ploy to cover up the battle sequences.. Also it gives us good fanservice transformation scenes that the guys can drool over..

In particular the first two seasons had lolis which drew a good crowd to the series.

Plus if you're so inclined you can join in the madness that is the OC thread since it's really easy to create characters in the Nanohaverse.

If anyone else wants to add something feel free...:heh:
