That’s an expression I frequently use when asked to defend EA’s place in the gaming industry. And it comes to mind again this week as we get deeper into the brackets of an annual Web poll to name the “Worst Company in America.”

I did find it amusing the bullet points he cheery picked to respond to. The only legit thing he really has is the last one, since they do allow that sort of thing. The second point is hilarious because 1) they don't give you a choice since they made all their games exclusive to Origin which forces people to use it and 2) any email you may have used in the past to register a game prior to Origin is considered a account - my friend has 3, for example. The first is just bad design decisions, if they really wanted to prove anything they should patch it so it becomes an optional feature - but they won't do that. The third, to me would be more related to poor implementation of DLC, or the trend where stuff that would have been free or included in the past now has to be paid for. As for the fourth, I couldn't care about Madden, never played it.
Dunno if I'd call them the worst company, but they do some really stupid things to piss of their consumers.
