You know despite all the complaint that Kenichi has about his training in the end being able bath with Shigure is probably worth it. And on Boris he does remind me bit of Souske and out of all the Yomi so far beside Sho I like Boris the best. He is funny for the reason similar to Souske as he also doesn't have experience with normal life and it makes the situations funny. Also out of all the Yomi he seems to be most respectable as deep inside he doesn't seems to have ill intention against others.

Hi,

im new to this forum and i wanted to find out about how the anime fits into the manga, as i dont really want to read it all again if its exactly the same as the manga upuntil a point, which is where I would like to read from as I dont think the anime will air anymore episodes ever and I really enjoyed the story.

sorry but it would take me forever to read through 50+ pages just to see if anyone has gone into this.

There are some differences here and there, but nothing too major. Chapter 144 is just after the anime story ends.

when you say nothing major, like extra fight scenes or moves that he didnt have in the anime, or more like characters that i never saw but would be irrelevant now?

Well, for example. In the manga there's a flashback about how Apachai came to Ryozanpaku and met Elder. That was cut from the anime. Ditto for one or two other minor flashbacks.

Or in the anime, Kenichi joins Ryonzanpaku first and then trains for a few days and then fights Daimonji (the karate club bully). In the manga, he gets a few tips from Ryozanpaku, but he fights Daimonji before joining them.

So yeah, just some minor little edits. But it's still 98% the same. I also picked up the manga from 144, and it was a very smooth transition from the anime.

Is it fair for shigure to hunt swords from their owners? The users purchased them fair and square from her father. And a katana is an extension of a swordsman's life/skills. Now, I know they abused their powers. But as an analogy with hand-to-hand masters, taking a swordman's weapon would be like Akisame/Sakaki crippling Yami members permanently.

Well, it is certainly the punishment they deserve. I almost feel killing them would be more humane than taking their swords though. That's too much like castration of their skills...
