We're now officially one step closer to... uh, acceleration. Pun intention definitely not hidden. :D
And the post-episode epilogue + next week's preview isn't really trying to be nice with us, y'know :D |
All doom and gloom...at the beginning when i first read railgun, im a bit surprised why misaka dont experience "shift" in value of personal reality...just like what happen to accelerator when last order is attacked
|
Spoiler for it has begun ... well, it will:

Don't worry, I did too. :D |

And I finally realized that long hair is superior to short hair ... it took me 3 years, but now I'm a real man with good taste. |
Watched the episode, was nice, but will have to wait for subs to fully enjoy it.
Anyway, the new Sister design was really nice. And looking at the ending, it seems that the "dark" part of the arc is about to begin. Here is the Cast list (like I did for previous episodes) Code:
Misaka Mikoto (御坂 美琴) - Rina Satou (佐藤 利奈) |

For gekota, Misaka had a weird expression & will spend her money just to obtain a gekota item. What terrifying hobby.
|
Misaka on the hunt for Gekota items is scary. And hilarious when successful.

Man, they managed to trick me with the "nice" scientist. It was all the creepier when she was still smiling pleasantly while they were telling Misaka #9982 "Oh, go clean up that room full of slaughtered corpses of your sisters before you start your training." And that's despite having read enough spoilers to know that a scene of that sort was coming.
|
It's hard to imagine anyone seeing the newly... "hatched"? clone crying like a newborn and still be able to *not* think of them as people... so she definitely wasn't a 'nice' scientist. The term "sister" is far more accurate as compared to "clone" - like an identical twin with accelerated growth that was programmed with the bare minimum personality at the equivalent age of 1 day old.
|
And next episode, into darkness she descends...
Another slow episode but we're finally up to the good parts. I wonder how much will be censored? I saw his grin... that familiar grin... :uhoh: But yeah no matter how many times I revisit this arc, it still creeps me out. |
Alright we're finally getting to the good stuff. Can't wait for Accelerator next episode.
[mod edit: moved the music discussion to the music thread] |
Aww... They skipped the tea scene, that was one of my favorites.
If at least it was in order to go faster, but they added original content and kept the slow pace... oh well... |
So, girl with bag has a name now? :heh:
Does that mean she will play a more important part too? :heh: |
Before we see despair on Misaka's face for now let's enjoy this face!

What I loved about this episode is exactly how uncanny Mikoto is after she found what she thought was the end of the project. It hit me much harder than the manga could ever have done.
Also, that appetite! Miko-chin is a healthy girl! |
A nice spot of calm before an expectant storm. I also have no problems with the pacing so far, having been brought up on 1960s & 1970s television, and enjoyed many a political thriller in my day. With that in mind I do appreciate a 'slow burn' more than a 'wham, blam thank-you-ma'mam".
