I wonder how they're going to animate the... uh, "sister and brother gets on it" scenes... while trying to pass it as a "pretty watchable" anime.

Given the material it should be possible to convert it into a short 6 episode story and keep everything but the sex scenes (or just simply the explicit parts in them). Well I'm just tinkering with the idea seeing as other H-material has been converted to anime in the past. Of course since this is getting a OVA adaptation its likely to be as explicit as the manga.

I didn't even know it was shounen manga until I walked into this thread... Damn these guys know how to push the limits.

I thought that Champion Red Ichigo was seinen and Champion Red was shonen.

Both are shounen manga magazines. All manga volumes that come from Champion Red Ichigo are mentioned to be shounen manga by the publisher.

For now Aki Sora is the only manga that comes from Champion Red Ichigo that's mentioned to be seinen manga by the publisher.

So I took a look at the manga. Are you kidding me? How on earth can they make an anime of this that isn't hentai? This is more in the Shoujo Sect category than the KissxSis category. I mean, I guess they could leave out direct images, but the whole point of the story is physical relations between brother and sister....

Really, it does seem to me that whenever there is a hue and cry against sex in anime -- as there is in Japan right now -- anime-makers take it as a challenge and produce even more outrageous shows. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

It does seem contradictory, given recent events in the news. that we seem to be seeing more and more hentai made into anime.

If I see a big "disaster" in the news I expect people to talk about it, make a series about it, make a movies about it; not the other way round =P

Not only it contains sister x brother as main dish. It also has group xxx and even a hint about mother x daughter. :eyespin: On top of that, the directer and character designer are also behind Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro. :heh: At this point, this anime will definitely go to hentai route. There is no way it can be done other ways.

Take out the hentai and there is no Aki Sora, really. There's not way to make a PG-13 version of this that would be in any way recognizable.

A torrent link to the subbed OVA will most likely not appear on AnimeSuki.

We probably won't list it, since they probably won't censor the OVA much. But there's no need to lock the thread over it. As long as people aren't linking to anything that breaks forum rules we don't wish to prevent anyone from actually discussing the title. The story (as much as I've read of it anyway, five chapters or so) isn't bad really. It's just the nature of the taboo relationships and their graphic portrayal that have earned this title its reputation. However, unlike some series, the sex and story go hand in hand here. Strong censoring would hurt much of the impact of the plot.

I'm still curious as to why this manga was given the go ahead for an adaptation. With the current frenzy over ero content in Japan, this seems like a bold choice.
