Rather than a cool-down episode, this one seems like it was moreso trying to build tension and anticipation. Orga once again shows that he won't take any threat to Tekkadan and his men lying down, and Tekkadan will back him up in every move he makes.
Mika shows once again that he's ruthless both in and out of the cockpit, but we have an old partnership renewed to be even stronger. It's going to be interesting to see where this all leads and all this tension is building to.

This show never disappoints. It's so good beyond the fighting, and now it's gaining scale and starting to feel grandiose.

Julietta is not bad, but as expected, not quite on Mika's level. And Mika being Mika, commenting upon securing Sandoval how hard it is to capture someone without killing them first :heh:

Orga is so... well, a big mafia boss, basically, brutal methods and all. He's incredibly cool though, in the lawful evil kind of way.

Good thing Tekkadan's future is somewhat ensured now that McMurdo gave them the rights to a half-metal deposit. His possible hidden motives are another matter though...

I wish Kudelia had more to do, but it's nice to see her resolving to work even harder and learn even more, as well as realizing that she, too, will have to pay for Tekkadan's sins they commit for her protection. I still love her character a lot and hope she gets chances to show her real ability like she did in Dorts and during the Makanai escort mission.

We finally get concrete info on how long the timeskip was - 1 year.

The big bosses' meeting between Orga and McGillis at the end made me shiver with tension and excitement. They're officially allies now, for better or for worse. (Funny thing though that while MGillis is definitely older by like 6-7 years, it's Orga who looks older, more experienced and with more presence).

Oh, and Atra going for the harem farm route so hard :D

All in all, still awesome, and the wait between episodes is killing me.

Oh! And I forgot about them conveniently excavating another Gundam frame. And Mika agreeing to put in a word with Orga to let Hash pilot a MS. Now, the question is, who will get the third Gundam. Shino is an obvious choice, but I have a feeling that Shino dies somewhere along the way and it goes to Hash then...

Irenesharda 2016-10-23 05:00

To be fair, Orga was always like that. Even back in their coup days, he was pretty brutal. It pretty much comes from a life where you can't turn your back on your enemies in mercy, or you're going to find a knife sticking out of it.

I think that hard life is also what makes Orga look somewhat older. McGillis isn't that much older and has had his share of hardships too though, and I think its his eyes and wider build that show that he's a little older than orga, who while tall, still has a slightly adolescent build.

It was rather hilarious that they are digging Gundams up from out of the ground now. They're farming for Gundams. :heh:

As for Hush, he's still on thin ice with me, and he'd better watch it. But if he really wants to learn from Mika and is willing to put in the work, then I don't see an issue with it. However, I'm beginning to wonder if he's cut out to be a mobile suit pilot. He barely was able to really work well with a worker, and he looked like he was pretty lost simply holding a gun. It was hilarious when the much younger Ride looked completely natural gunning people down, but Hush looked like a lost lamb. I'll be interested in seeing where Hush's direction is going to go.

Yeah, Orga was never a softie or he wouldn't be able to be a leader in a world as cruel as IBO's Mars, though after his losing a lot of comrades in season 1, I feel like his patience with anyone not part of his family and in his way got even shorter, continuing with his aggressive policy of 'we'll crush anyone who's in our way'. Plus, as season 1 established (by even making Kudelia wear a Tekkadan uniform in episode 24) Kudelia to him has become part of that family, so yeah, just like Mika, it's no wonder that he goes full on 'you'll pay' mode, coldly and professionally eradicating them. It was also damn convenient that Gjallarhorn (the police, basically) had his back on this one, covering for him.

Too bad we have no official ages for anyone save for Kudelia, so i kinda went with the most logical view someone expressed before based on that: if Kudelia was 16 at the beginning, then Mika and Atra 15, Orga 17-18, McGillis and Gaelio 23-25. That's why I said that there's a 6-7 yr age gap between Orga and Macky. But then again, your skill and ability is all that matters in that world, so.

Ah, another something I forgot: Mika being a perception monster again and pointing out that McGillis looks tired.

Can't say I like him much either yet, just more or less neutral on his character so far, and yes, the question of Hush's ability still stands. I agree that he hardly showed anything noteworthy in this department so far - not the worst but definitely far from the best. And as Eugene said, Mobiles Suits are the core of any battle now, with the whole operation riding on their performance more often than not, so Tekkadan, with not that many MS at their disposal, can only afford to put their best pilots in them, and so far, many other members seem more capable than Hush, especially considering that he has no AV.

Well, still too eary to say anything, and the route where despair upon realizing that he can never reach Mikazuki drives Hush over the edge into betrayal is still open like before. But well, another Gundam frame popping up is just too convenient, and if it's not for Hush, then I definitely see Shino's death flag rising in the distance.

Haha, good one :D

The mix of action and talking was pretty good (as it was in the last three episodes).

A few other things:

- Isurugi is a pretty capable pilot.
- Boss McMurdo seems to really like Tekkadan. Although he has ulterior motives (well, he is a mafia boss)
- Now that they found the buried Gundam frame I am pretty sure that the Mars was the place of an epic battle during the Calamity War (I bet the Barbatos was abandoned during the same battle).
- And I also like the classical car that Atra is using.
- Is it just me or does the secretary of Nobliss look like she is related to Fumitan?

Aetherdraw 2016-10-23 06:05

Atra making sure Kudelia is into the threesome by the time this is all over. What a girl!

Azurial 2016-10-23 06:07

"Gotta dig em'gundam " what gundam is that one they dig up it looks like a bird or something unless that is only half of the body and another one that too big to be a gundam frame. So Astarot Gundam or some kind has been buried underground here. Hmmm so one Gundam and maybe a support docking like OO-Raiser the O-Raiser thing forgot what it called has been dig up? Since it they said it doesn't look like a gundam . Nonetheless awesome episode as alway Julieta better train some more XD. And that guy who work for Mcgilis the one who try to stop Julieta look like Aizen from bleach for some reason :/

It can't be the Astaroth, as it was found and dug out on a moon crater

Really enjoying the direction of this show. The actions aside, they're handling the politics quite well too. The partnership with McGillis may not benefit Tekkadan fully but it's still a good progress for them. And Tekkadan benefited from another Gundam frame and possibly a mobile armor.

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2016-10-23 06:16

Mika doesn't play :twitch:. That is all.

It's Turn-A Gundam all over again, where they dig & excavate ancient Mobile Suits & spaceships and use it to fight :D (but probably not as frequent and massive as in Turn-A).

Being a highly-skilled pilot is pretty much a basic requirement to pilot a Schwalbe Graze (the blue Graze unit). In the hands of generic/average pilots, that customized unit is more of a hassle than a favor in battle. That's why not many pilots use it and even Julietta herself said that the unit is rare.

Chibiloli 2016-10-23 06:19

Anybody here sure of Julieta's gender? I'' rather confused about it, the DHC guys kept saying "he" but I can probably chalk that up to them not knowing who is in the Reginlaze.

FerrusManus 2016-10-23 06:22

The new Gundam they found is definitely the Flauros. It matches up with the pictures of the model.

Well, her design on her character page looks rather feminine (slim waist and wider hips), and her CV is a former female gravure idol, so I think it's save to assume that Julietta is indeed female.

charles883 2016-10-23 06:38

Also they found something bigger than regular Mobile suit. Maybe Mobile Armor?

It might be the Gundam and mysterious machine fight to death during calamity war

ReddyRedWolf 2016-10-23 06:54

If I was Sandoval I'd be flattered being fought over. I'm amused Mika both save their lives kicking Julietta away. They had a fun game of trying to catch the pirate. Iok is suffering not being appreciated. Julietta is miffed that Mika beat her to t.

My goodness Kudelia is like a housewife waiting for her workaholic husband to come so they could have some quality time. Atra really wants her polygamy that she invites Kudelia to retire to the farm with Mika after her work for Mars is over.

Pops McMurdo is showing favoritism to Tekkadan like they are his own competent grand children. Naze looking out for them as a big brother. Other parts of the "Family" is resenting this.

As for the Activist dude you messed with the bloody Space Mafia what did you expect? You got no money, no political influence and those guys are buddies with the lawmen. I know your Terra Liberis feel like a joke after Kudelia brought reform and prosperity to her corner of Mars, turning to terrorism and hiring pirates but you crossed the wrong people. You could've not try to kill Kudelia for political gain knowing she is connected with a PMC who are members of the Space Mafia.

Along with mining rights Tekkadan gets a Gundam and possibly a Mobile Armor as a bonus. Ryusei is eying that one. Lucky for Hush who has learned to talk to management (Mika) for a Mobile suit. There would be a Shinden opening. But he better expect Training from Hell that Naze's harem would give him.

I do wonder if Gjallarhorn purposely mismanaged Mars' economy because it has caches of Calamity Era weapons.

I must say that co-dependence relationship of Orga and Mika is unhealthy feeding off each other. Orga wont pull the trigger himself so Mika does. Orga takes more risks because of Mika even if he knows McGillis is a snake.

Faux Mecha 2016-10-23 07:12

man, Mika gives me shivers when he utters "its hard taking the enemy alive" as Sandoval surrenders, he wasn't even thinking to spare him from the start, then again followed by him shooting Allium to blood spatters without any second thoughts, he's still Mika despite his progress in his farming studies,

also Shino's dream of owning a Gundam came true? along with a missive Mobile Armor conveniently buried under the mine that was gifted to Tekkadan by Teiwaz, so i guess that Tekkadan now has three Gundams in total, Robo-Gaelio might need more fire power for his own Gundam & his subordinates to counter that.

tsunade666 2016-10-23 07:36

Nice episode and nice battle. Like the catchphrase when Mika said its hard to not kill them

Yup

Though given how its an artillery machine I wonder who will pilot it....Shino prefers to melee and Hush can barely handle a gun it seems

Its probably the MA we been getting hints at from the gunpla. Good guys with MAs, a rare occurence that I like. Have fun rebuilding THAT though Tekkadan, its gonna cost u a pretty penny

Tenzen12 2016-10-23 08:16

Naze is right, Orga needs be less heavy handed with way he solves things. Also allying with McG doesn't sound like good idea... but it's very much Orga like for better or worse.

I am just waiting for spin-off where Tekkadan take antagonistic role.
