I read all the info for it on the wiki page and than read the first chapter of the manga, this looks like being a fun series and I'm looking forward to when the anime comes out.

Is it really for Shounen...? Rather I imagine Yuyupo is writing this series for around-thirties, namely the same generation as herself :heh: The novel contains a lot of parodies of subcultures in 80's and 90's Japan.

I've read the JP Wikipedia, seems like a fun tsundere series. Kugimiya Rie is supposedly a collaborator, so I'm expecting her to play Taiga. :D

Yes, the light novel series is published under a label that's aimed at a readership of teenage boys to men in their twenties.

Most boy's light novel labels, be it Dengeki Bunko, Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, Fujimi Mystery Bunko, Sneaker Bunko, ... aime at that target readership.

So in the label. But considering the generation seen in the 2ch thread...;)
Teenagers and early-twenties sometimes have difficulties to follow her joke.
I'm just wondering. No deeper meaning.

I expect there will be a scene relating to TaraSpa in the TV show.

Yeah, I agree about that. The target readership of Dengeki Bunko is something like teenage boys/men in their twenties, but the actual readership that's something else (LOL), I expect most of the readership of this light novel series to be men in their twenties/thirties...

Well, there are even shounen manga (<-- target readership) with mostly female readers (<-- actual readership) LOL, but it's still shounen manga.

Sweet. I've been interested in this since I saw the artwork. I also found it interesting that Kinoko Nasu (Cocreator of Type-Moon) himself liked this series and reviewed it.

I would like to here another seiyu play a tsundere this time. I've heard Rie Kugimiya so many times now.

This one's being added to my "to watch" list well in advance.

serenade_beta 2008-04-02 16:27

Dear oh dear... Maybe it's time for me to buy the novels and read them beforehand.
But that would be another 50-70 dollars out of my wallet...

And just a thought, but that manga cover is pretty unattractive... First thought when I saw it was "wrong book?"...

Mah, looking forward to this one, for now.

Oh, and NeoSam, since you seem to have read the light novels, I'd like to ask about how the novels are. Like, how is the comedy, story, and those type of things.

I found this pretty helpful before I decided to get the novels, hopefully this helps:

*chokes on air*

Cough cough...

Yep, time to buy it.
For the simple reason that this was done by the person who wrote "Watashi-tachi no Tamura-kun" (though I've only read the manga, and not the two volume novel yet). :)
Never even noticed... :eyespin:
Yet the manga covers for "Watashi-tachi no Tamura-kun" is so much prettier...

Thanks for the link. :)

It's so great to see someone else in the english community that likes "Watashi-tachi no Tamura-kun", I heard lots of good things about that light novel series. It might be my next buy :)

Anyway I remember that on April 1st, 2007 the illustrator of the "Watashi-tachi no Tamura-kun" said that it was going to get animated >.< but it turned out to be an April Fools joke >.<

This time I though the same was going to happen with Toradora! (an April Fools joke), but no, it turned out to be really getting an anime :D

MeganeShounen 2008-04-03 07:59

I wonder if it's bad to say that this series won me over through its super cute light novel covers? ^_^;
Taiga holding a tiger doll + her expression = waaaaay too cute. :heh:

Also, I'm testing myself on how many tsundere-ojousama characters voiced by Kugimiya Rie I can keep on listening until I give up.

Not to mention that there's still Sekirei (Tanaka Rie as Tsukiumi)...

Westlo 2008-04-03 08:19

Tanaka Rie is Tsukiumi! Honestly having read the manga I think she would do a much better job as Tsukiumi than the other Rie.

MeganeShounen 2008-04-03 08:39

Eep. Sorry about that. I always keep on confusing Kugimiya for Tanaka...
(And then there's my problem with Tomokazu Sugita and Tomokazu Seki... :heh:)

shaolinx 2008-04-03 12:11

This anime sounds really fun. I will have to add to my watch list :) ~

edit: anyone know the air date?

Tell the artist directly and he would be pleased.

>anyone know the air date?

Possibly now under co-ordination :)
Do you think anime-production plan and broadcasting plan occurs at the same time?

Westlo 2008-04-03 12:35

Anyone else hoping J.C Staff aren't doing this? Unless of course Kenichi Kasai is directing.

Tiberium Wolf 2008-04-03 12:58

Sooo many posts but none says what this series about! :(
