This seems like another great episode =)

ronelm2000 2010-09-07 04:51

So what is this supposed to be about again? =S

Damn...pre-graduation isn't it Y_Y

Maccette 2010-09-07 11:31

It's almost over....:(

TakuanInc. 2010-09-07 12:21

...I don't know what to feel about this episode...

But it's really ending, huh....

keroro gunsou 2010-09-07 12:36

Ummmm , the final episode of K-on coming soon ,next week!!!
Spoiler for ep23:

-Rhythm 2010-09-07 12:56

I'm graduating this year, taking my final exams now. =[

Rice_slayer 2010-09-07 13:17

I just graduated 3 months ago and work full-time as a Automotive service tech. , the job I have wanted for like 6 years lol. I wouldn't say graduation is the downer part, it's just how emotional and anti-climatic it is. They spend the last 2 months of school pumping you up and preparing but once the ceremonies end My friends and I all thought "Is this all? Really THAT was it?" The melancholy feeling was around for a week, and just seemed weird that 2 weeks after grad I was a working member of society is what scared me. Can't wait to see this Ep.! I hope KK has it's subs out soon!

GuiBleh 2010-09-07 14:56

It's ending :(

Spoiler for ep 23:

ElizLestrad 2010-09-07 17:22

Well, theres definitly hope for a Season 3, with Azusa getting Ui-chan and that other girl to join (I can never remember her name). Or since 22 ended the way it did, they could just stick with the origional characters, but then they'd be missing out on Azu-nyan and Sawako-sensei.

ronelm2000 2010-09-07 17:47

that other girl...? Who is it?

goombas 2010-09-07 18:23

I'm so sad that this anime is ending T_T

It made me depressed because I never got to experience fun High School days like this and I've already graduated from high school.

You know the one in the Jazz club with the frizzy hair? The one who hangs out with Ui and Azusa all the time.

You're talking about Jun-chan right?

ElizLestrad 2010-09-07 19:04

Ah thats right! Yeah, I can never remember her name for some reason -_-

Francismeunier 2010-09-07 20:39

A nice calm episode full of surprises.

I am really sorry I have not been with you all on thee discussions since I have so much other series I want to comment but this series end surely will bring great sadness as it was the only series that was comedy, slice of life, cute and of all musical with songs hitting top charts I would never imagine in anime. Well now I am here with you all so let me do mything and engage in conversations of this episode.....First thing about this episode is the sad part is that our girls have finished passing all their exams and qualified last episode to go all to their college #1 choice as well as to graduate high school. So this episode they were kind of bored and tried to do things. Well here is what I got as reactions during the various parts of the episode.....first thing came into mind was if these clothes are of Yui's new college or not here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/b807b32c.jpg
I did not even know they had holders for Pockys as seen here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/f7eb854e.jpg
I found out that not only it was funny but also cute of Yui to eat the pocky here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/b9882e03.jpg
Oh yes! Pocky eating contest between Mugi and Yui! I though Yui at that point got some cavity from of her reactions around this part=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/7c89d860.jpg
Ritsu sure drew a yummy parfait that I like savor here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/d1a7dc12.jpg
Oh my! O_O Ritsu sure has lots papers in her desk here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/97a4e98e.jpg
Nice face Yui makes in the teachers' room while talking at the same time as Sawa-chan was to Nodoka=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/d2dd0183.jpg
I liked how Ritsu and Yui commented at the same time on Sawako's reaction to denying them having their fun with her here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/4ae0180b.jpg
This was a particularly interesting part due to Nodoka's photo album I don't remember too well of seeing. The group pictures was especially interesting with all the people being around Nodoka=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/885d3dc2.jpg
Yui with Nodoka's glasses! So cute! With that scarf and all she looks a little like a secretary here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/d86daf2a.jpg
Particularly funny was Ritsus' expression here and Yui with her were so close yet cute. Reminded of that single part of episode 20 when they held hands=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/71f47d04.jpg
Interesting enough was when they asked which breads they wanted to Azusa and wanted to buy them for them here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/cd7bd31c.jpg
How cute! They put a ribbon on Ritsus' last coin of her money here and do wonder how much is worth that coin.....one yen?=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/c46e8871.jpg
Spanking clean is the window! If you can your reflections it means for sure that! Mugi sure knows how to clean properly here but it was good they did cleaning after all it was near its spring due time=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/056e52b1.jpg
Little competition of floor cleaning between Ritsu and Yui? Why not? it was funny at that part for competition=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/c8490cac.jpg
I think it might have been a good idea to have put their names on the desk like it was mentioned here but eventually crossed over with a X =>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/b67e8dd8.jpg
Nice team pose at this episode here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/5c026f52.jpg
If they play Honey Sweet Tea Time at their graduation as a special....it would amazing! As seen here in the list and did not hear it at all during the concert =>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/f9285dce.jpg
Oh my! :D Mio and Azusa look shy towards their voice recording on that radio at this part here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/d0caea02.jpg
I did not see that Froggy for some time.....well now it's back!=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/62aee2df.jpg
They must been playing at least for 2 and a half hours or more judging from the time being 7:40pm on this clock here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/b4c22b5f.jpg
Anyone know which type of Radio this is other is obviously made by Sony? Anything on the web about this radio? Here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/0c2f4b02.jpg
The tape we see in the intermissions......well it's done finally! The first tape was nice! It was a sign of a heritage they can leave for future members of the K-ON club itself well I hope they also make copies for themselves too here=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/2a3e61be.jpg
No! It really is graduation next episode!=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/d1cec30e.jpg
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/b0496a54.jpg
But the series is 26 episodes long so 25 & 26.....I hope they will show their new college how it looks like and maybe more family members are a last graduation concert! Heck yeah that would be nice! I will leave you with a interesting article I came up with but due to the site it is NFSW so at your own risk=>
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/0...unyan-tragedy/
What do you all think? If this really happens I will feel and share her :T_T: I voted 10/10 no problem! :D

NakanoAzusa 2010-09-07 21:54

The last Graduation...i m very happy yet sad that i get to graduate in the same year with Yui and co.....really....Overall its a nice episode..showing how we should keep on living even though our usual normal living change to a new level.....arg...how can i put this?? i m full of tears in my eyes:T_T:

So is it possible they might show how all are in the future like in Clannad: After Story? That might ruin a lot of things if they do that. I hope they do a third season but as a Neo K-On meaning Azusa and other band members since K-On is not only about Yui, Mio, Mugi and Ritsu. Sure they made the show a success but I will stress out that K-On is the club itself so adding the Neo to it might just mean a new beginning for what has a end must have beginning and all beginnings do have endings less they are suspended in time (in other words not finished and waiting to be finished). Also Sawako used to be in the K-On club and they still showed 2 to 3 of her friends....a partner in her band and for sure that girl that got married.

Meaning they could the same thing and just show the old members of K-On (Yui, Mio, Ritsu and Mugi) show up from time to time to visit Azusa.
Anyways it's GIF time! Master sets will be done eventually but for this episode I decided on the following to be done.......Yui freebies and I think one of them did not come out too well but at least I tried!=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/33b32028.gifhttp://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/bfa6687b.gif
Originals follow in the order of the avatars from left to right=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/90390d4c.gif
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/4a9bc0ee.gif
Yui jumping at Azusa hugging her and rubbing her face on her face=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/d62d924b.gif
Everyone eating the famous large chocolate bread...that one was nice I will admit=>
http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...4/8d31e775.gif
That's it but TBH this episode was one of the weak ones for GIFs as I did not catch too many opportunities to make many of them as I did with other episodes once I do master sets themselves.

I agree you. Azusa is the only character, who can show us new LMC & K-on episodes. I guess that K-on must be the show of highschool girls ! They are not adults and not children, they are highschool students.
In highschool days , we are restrainted by many reasons(money, exams, how to live after graduation, etc). But , at the same time we can get close friends,we can take many first experiences !!!
In college, we are few restrainted in our life, but the degrees of emotions grow weak or small.... I guess this is why many Japanese anime had highschool storyline.

Exactly and they introduced so many other side characters.....do you smell something? I smell the possibilities of putting these characters into a new K-On! Heck yeah!

You are right !
I want to add only one point. There are many episodes in which the stories go from Azusa eye like ep22. She was so lonely, even when she was laughing with Senpais. Maybe she hoped to become same grade of school with 4Senpais.
But she have to move on !!! This situation is the possibility of seoson3,isnt it?
And there are many side characters,as you say,who shoud join LMC !!!

I just had the idea that Ui can learn most likely the guitar and for change they could make Jun have a saxophone since she is in the jazz club. Could change the piano too to maybe something else but still think the drums should be kept.

TakuanInc. 2010-09-08 07:56

Rewatching it, I noticed that they didn't forget Honey Sweet Tea Time after all...

Man, I wanna hear it...;__;

ID555 2010-09-08 08:38

Feels more like a buildup episode, but it was nice to see them hanging around school when all the third years are gone. I thought Mugi would have a cute last-thing-to-do-at-school wish, but no - just cleaning windows, lol.

The part with Azusa and Mio getting embarrassed at hearing their recorded voices was cute. I can identify with that feeling :p

The Sakura High Light Music Club post-Hokago Tea Time is guitar heavy as it is. We already know Ui has the Hirasawa Instant-Learning perk like her sister, and could play the guitar so well in season one that when she tried to substitute for a sick Yui (by coming in disguised as Yui,) the first inkling the others got that something was off was that "Yui" was keeping perfect time. :heh:

Both Azusa and Jun are guitar players. One could shift to bass, maybe Jun. Ui could pick up drums, or become the lead singer and lyrical visionary. Then they'd just need a fourth to satisfy the school's policies.

Im hoping we get lucky and they find some way to cover both groups. I just can't image K-On without Mugi...well...and the others too.

Wow! Perfect analysis !!! Ummm, in anytime it is the school's policies that many many students are disturbed their hope...

Jun is already a bass player (Main reason why she admires Mio so much and note that she forgets her bass in EP5) and the Anime retconned Ui into having some experience with the piano/keyboard (see EP 5 again and compare that with Ui's profile which says that Ui has no previous experience with musical instruments). The main person they need to continue is a drummer actually.

keroro gunsou 2010-09-08 10:48

Now I watched 2ch,which has huge anime fans forlums.
Many many japanese anime fans concluded that season 3 of K-on never come out....
I am sad. K-on(,and 5cm per second, lucky star) is a few anime which reminds me of my highscool days!!! It was funnest days in my life...
I have to say thanks to K-on, I really enjoy every episodes.

I am living in Japan,I am Japanese!!!
So I have to say thanks for your loving our cultures ,to everyone in this forlum.

SaintessHeart 2010-09-08 12:37

I graduated two years ago. I remember at this time of the year, I was busy mugging for my GCE 'A' Levels.

Those years I spend in school are certainly more memorable than it is in prep-uni today - messing around, going for the bi-weekly ensemble practice, having fun with my friends and working my ass off part-time during weekends - those are the memories I couldn't forget.

Though I messed up my life by not studying hard enough, those days are really what I cherished - before my school shifted campus there was a fundraiser held, walking around and such for class organised events, a dunking machine was called in by one of my senior's classes and we paid to dunk our home tutor.

Like every graduate during the last day, we don't look back, but we kept those days deep in our minds because we know that we may never meet the people there again.

The best days of life are meant to be remembered, not to be cried over.

fict_ticious 2010-09-08 13:17

I'm with the Francis fella in saying that K-On in its entirety was quite a phenomenon. Sad to see it go. Wait, this means no Budokan. That wasn't part of the deal, KyoAni. THAT WASN'T PART OF THE DEAL.

I had to laugh at Azusa's "You're still here?". Though I recall doing the same thing on my last day of high school - visiting the old clubs, teachers, kicking it with the old crew. Funny thing was the following year we were invited back again to perform.

That stuff aside, not much going on this episode. Padding their entire day until it was after school and staying as long as possible afterward. Though it IS winter, so I doubt it was too long after school. Seeing Honey Sweet Time on the tracklist surprised me. I was under the impression that it was eaten up by U&I (ie. Yui was the lyrics and Mugi the melody). Vol. 2 is an even more surprising thought. For the lack of music in general with the show, this thing racked up quite a number of tracks in the end. Not expecting anything great for the last episode but I am expecting a few tears. Again.

Lord of Fire 2010-09-08 13:59

The only thing I expect out of next episode is that Azusa will finally and truly break down to pieces and bawl her eyes out. We know she's deathly afraid to find the clubroom empty once she gets out of class and though she tries hard to keep her composure, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she can take no more and finally start showing her true feelings (as well as how much she has gotten attached to Yui and co.).

As for this episode, I like how we finally got to see the actual tape they keep showing us in the eyecatch and title screen and how this show has now pretty much come full-circle, now that the main 4 are about to graduate and the LMC is open for new members again (and one member short if both Ui and Jun stick to their promise and join Azusa).

And over the three years it's been active, this band has produced (at least) 9 songs, two of which we have yet to hear (Can't Stop the Strawberry Parfait and Honey Sweet Tea Time) and several others that have never gotten out of the concept phase (the lyrics Mio wrote in episode 17). For a small band like this, I think that's quite impressive.

We also know that is the only way to distinguish them because during the 22nd episode Ui got into Yui's hairstyle and did not make a difference in appearance only the way she acted.

I though club members much be 5 in clubs. Ui should also pick up the guitar and be the lead singer.

If you go on page one I wrote a site that was talking about that. There might be problems in regards to some fans making a suicide run because of that. If so then this anime affected more people emotionally than I though. Originally I emotionally attached a lot to all the girls but none in particularly except maybe Ritsu's accent.

Yeah the tape was definitely that most crucial thing to leave as a memory for this club's future members.

I am sure Mio's songs will be out as a special character album but you do know it will be a bout animals. The beat therefore must be good to put you into the mood of that unless her voice charms you a lot.

Peanutbutter 2010-09-08 18:07

Looks like the floodgates will be out the next episode.

I do wonder what the two extra episodes will cover.

winhlp32 2010-09-08 18:10

The male TV reporter talking at the beginning of the episode, some of you may recognize is voiced by Shiraishi Minoru, who also voiced Taniguchi in Haruhi, played himself on Lucky Channel and sang all those lovely EDs in the second half of Lucky Star.

If i was sawa-chan. I'd use my teacher powers to fail all of them and make them stay another year.. or two.

Heck yeah! I would do the same thing too! :D Somehow the parents might be angry but it would have been better like that.

itzglez 2010-09-09 00:57

bittersweet memories I'm fund of looking back that is high school. Yui reminded me of myself collecting those little notes and I still have them lock up tight in a box. seriously I'll miss K-On for sure.

~sigh~
