Sawa takes down Maho fairly easily as expected. Also as expected, Ryuuka got smashed by Kyouko. While they already won once, it's a bit sad to see the Saki characters crash so hard in such a short period of time.

Not yet, she still has to get past Eru first.

It at least gave her a second chance. And she's still a clear favourite against Eru anyway.

I want to make sure the work does get done though.

Matches: Rf6 Rf7

Toki is just a shadow of her former self. Tsukiko should be too strong for Toki to beat now. Eru is quite strong but stopping Madoka isn't very likely.

Votes:
Onjouji Toki
Chitanda Eru

Predictions:
Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko
Kaname Madoka

- Not a very convincing win for Azuki in comparison to the other repchange final results. But all that matters to Azuki is she has more votes than Chiho so she advances to the top 16. Very good result.

Can Tsukiko win her match and have two Hen-neko reps in the top 16? If she does, she would not only eliminate last years AST winner, but ensure that no Saki rep advances to the top 16.

- Akari wins her match and already ensures that YuruYuri has two reps advance to the top 16.

Of course, Madoka wants to make sure that there are 4 PMMM reps (just like in 2011) in the top 16 by winning her match. Will Eru skip out on the match, or will she have enough curiosity to challenge her opponent and find a way to break through the PMMM defense?

Aya Reiko 2013-11-01 10:36

Guessing...
Tsukiko & Madoka

Ichuki 2013-11-01 10:49

Prediction- Tsukiko and Madoka
Pick- Madoka

ion475 2013-11-01 11:23

Well, Azuki Azusa won, and Akarin won with ease as expected.

For one last round...
Rf-6: Pick/Predict: Tsukiko. Tsukiko only lose to KN in a vote reversal, and Saki has been freefalling...
Rf-7: Pick: Chitanda, Predict: Madoka. Chitanda can't even get close to Sayaka, I just don't see how she'll get close to the goddess...

iamadooddood 2013-11-01 12:59

All things considered, congratulations to Akari and Azusa. Akari won convincingly. Azusa, not so much, but she still won.

Barring a shock upset, Madoka should make it through repechage. As should Tsukiko.

Toki is Saki's only hope now. Actually if the Saki fanbase rallied together one last time for one final push...

@Team Rocket Elite: Rooting for the underdogs huh? I like that. :D

Team Rocket Elite 2013-11-01 18:06

I guess I was underestimating Shiho right to the end. Azusa does win but it's a lot closer than I expected. Akari easily wins as expected, though.

2nd 140 -> 139 Eru Chitanda @ Hyouka

And with this, the repechage ends.
Among the 8 repechage winners, we have:
4 block finalists: Miho, Yoshino, Azusa and Akari
2 who lost in round 3: Sawa and Tsukiko
2 who lost in round 2: KYOUKO and Madoka
and none who lost in round 1.

- No Saki rep in the top 16..... even Toki was more than 100 away from challenging. Still a good result since Tsukiko advanced.

- No need to comment on Madoka and Eru's match.

Spoiler for Odds from my blog...:

Team Rocket Elite 2013-11-02 10:36

Toki isn't immune to the Saki drop either. As expected, Tsukiko wins. The long awaited return of Madoka has finally come. Let's see if she can go all the way this time.

Benigmatica 2013-11-02 11:09

The only thing I want is Kuroneko winning this tournament.

OreImo hasn't had a representative winning SaiMoe since their debut in 2011.

Ichuki 2013-11-02 11:28

Personally I want a YuruYuri rep, Watashi, Yoshino, Miborin and Tomoka to win this thing

iamadooddood 2013-11-03 04:46

Always knew Madoka would make it. Toki on the other hand... looks like Saki really gave up.

Or if the admins start trolling us and MadoMagi girls start dropping like flies instead...?

Thread of Final draw

http://kohada.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/...us/1383489761/

They did decided that Group winners and Repachage group winners will be in separate pots and Group winners will face a repachage winner in first round (Original rule being all 16 girls mixed together, they change it back after a vote).

Looks like this will be fairer, any rigging of votes notwithstanding.

From here on it's a knockout stage. Madoka has a 37.5% chance of meeting another Puella Magi.

Only time will tell how this goes.

ion475 2013-11-03 10:23

Draw is delayed a little to 00:30 JST (In about 10 minutes).

Just some tidbits before the draw...
1. Madoka has 37.5% (3/8) chance of facing another MadoMagi girl first round.
2. While Hanazawa has 3 girls that qualified, they won't face each other in first round since they're all group winners.
3. On the other hand, there is a small chance that Ayase and Sawa will face each other.
4. Other than MadoMagi, though, there won't be any intra-series fight in 1st round since they're either group winners (Oreimo with Ayase and KN) or reparchage winner (YRYR with Akarin and TOSHINO KYOUKO, Henneko with Azuki Azusa and Tsukiko).
5. Yes, Kyouko can fight KYOUKO in Round 1.

Odds for each match will be posted on my blog when they start, as usual.

Ichuki 2013-11-03 11:39

Looks like Tomoka and Kyouko are getting a re match. Same with Akarin and Kuroneko, Ayase and Madoka too.

ion475 2013-11-03 11:42

Well well...

1. Both Oreimo got rematches, with Ayase facing off against Madoka again, this time without the split, while Kuroneko fights Akarin again in a repeat of Group G Final. Even if both win, the price for them is to face off against each other.
2. Out of the 3 PMMM girls, 2 got easy matchup (Sawa & Yoshino). The former champ, Mami, face off with the other strong reparchage girl in Nishizumi-dono. Mami (if she win) will more than likely face off against Sayaka also, which means it's not really THAT rosy for PMMM
3. Another rematch in Mokkan v. TOSHINO KYOUKO. Can Kyouko avenge her loss?
4. Other than that, Kobato face off against Tsukiko. Tsukiko lose to Kuroneko in a rather controversial result, can she revenge against a Kuroneko clone?

Who's for a Kyouko-Kyouko final here? It'd be the best final ever.

Aya Reiko 2013-11-03 11:46

Final Four Prediction...

Kyouko (PMMM) -- Should be a cakewalk
Madoka -- Kuroneko will be more difficult than Ayase, but I'm going with Madoka here
Watashi -- Kyouko (YY) might give her a fight, but I doubt it
Mami -- Let's face it, it's Sayaka v Mami here. I'm picking Mami, but only just barely

I'm disappointed that TOSHINO KYOUKO draw Mokkan instead of Sakura Kyouko in the Round 1 match anyway...

It's not an easy path for TOSHINO KYOUKO, though, she has to revenge against Mokkan (No guarantee, Mokkan beat her fairly easily last time around), Watashi (Azuki Azusa is not weak, but I still believe in Watashi), then Mami/Sayaka...

For the other Kyouko, while Sawa and Tsukiko (or Kobato, I think Tsukiko is stronger, though) are relatively easy, there's always the chance of running into Madoka in Semi-Final (Yes, I'm picking Lovely My Angel to send Madoka home again, but it'll not be as easy as last time), and Kyouko simply has no chance against the goddess.

Personally, I'm picking Kyouko-Mami final. If Lovely My Angel fall this time around, though, it'll be a repeat of 2011 final (Madoka v. Mami).
