Opinion about Anime Giveaways

Have you ever entered one of these? Did you ever win? Is there anything shady about entering, are they even worth the time?

Some little questions I have about them.

Let's see. You give away PERSONAL INFORMATION for a remote chance at winning something. Guess who has the better end of the bargain? (excluding the winner) :uhoh:

But, if you REALLY want the prize -- then go for it.

Yeaa, some websites have said that some personal information is considered public record, so its accessible anyways. But then of course by signing up your asking for spam and advertisement.
