Having a writer block moment and then Eroking sent me his 'image of the day'. I don't know the original artist and would be delighted to credit them.

Eroking sent me the original and I said that's the closest "potential tsika art" I've come across -- recolor as Tsika in the morning - sans make up and unbrushed hair.

1) It shows I can't even recolor worth a damn (much less draw)
2) Maybe it'll encourage someone to take a shot at drawing the characters :)

My editor and I are looking over my first 10+ chapters and having a fist fight :) about how best to portray voices. She's right, my tenses and voice (passive, active) are all over the place and that can't stand. The chapters are also still way too sketchy and short. Chapter 8 in particular is a disaster for all the above reasons.

One of the biggest problems is how to portray character thoughts versus mere descriptive/action text. It just feels right to deliver character thoughts in present tense first person like their dialog (e.g. "Hey!" <--> Oh, that'll hurt.). But how to work that into what is essentially descriptive past tense (e.g. They proceeded down the sidewalk.) is making me pull on my hair. I've seen some fiction use italics for internal thoughts, but ... I'm not fond of visual cues.

Anyway, that's today's behind stage agonizing. My chapter for today is essentially written but I'm trying to slow down til we get this resolved to minimize rewrites.

I had a very strange moment in the grocery the other day -- I saw Aina (so to speak). Almost six feet, very slender, attractive, 30-something, silver hair, blue eyes. I desperately wanted to snap a pic but no opportunity arose and stalking really isn't a good idea.

If I were live-casting - Krysten Ritter is a fair ringer for Tsika if she were 10 inches shorter and grew her hair longer. :)

How to waste time and amuse oneself -- implementing Blar, Tsika, Glyc, and Kpau in Skyrim. Sadly, the only tattoo mods I've found don't do what I want. Oddly, Blar gave me the toughest time ... eye and hair color not quite there. Got several comments that Skyrim "ages" characters :)
