...for being madly, massively, helplessly infatuated with Rock Lee? ^.^;;

I mean, he's THE reason I've recently become obsessed with Naruto. While I was working at a con arcade I was watching one of the Gamecube games for like six hours, and this kept running in my mind: "Wow, the green clad kid doing that kick-butt bandage move is hot. I've got to watch Naruto now!"

So I've finally watched some Naruto, but lo and behold. I skip like 40-some eps. and go straight to the Gaara/Lee fight. Now what's running through my mind? "Dag, that boy can MOVE!" I don't think that battle sequence was meant to be as entertaining as I found it to be...

I see Rock-kun lose, even after unleashing forbidden moves and all that jazz. I cry. Like mad. I was groping my monitor and bawling, "Oh my gosh, no! My poor Rock-kun." Surprisingly, I don't absolutely abhor Gaara, despite how badly he beat him up. But my poor Rock-kun...

My friend David burned me some Rock Lee music videos--the poor guy fell victim to my idiocy. Watched them last night. Can we say "massively fanservice-induced droolage"?

Rock Lee's an awesome character, yes. Interesting that he's restricted to taijitsu, and his goal to prove you can be a great ninja without ninjitsu and genjitsu is inspiring and noble. Not to mention he was just the cutest thing as a kid. I wanted to hug him when he tripped on the jump rope and slammed his head on a tree. He's got a great personality, so it's no wonder he's quite popular. This weird infatuation would make more sense to me if I'd fallen for him based on his character.

But I didn't. Not at first, at least. ^.^;;

I've more evidence of my insane Rock Lee infatuation, but let's just call it a day. Don't want to scare you guys that much.

Rock's one of my favorite characters, but I draw the line at drooling over him. :heh:

If you like Rock, just wait and see what happens in the anime. You'll be more than satisfied. :D

Noooooooooooooooooo how can you skip episodes? Even if you do, you miss Rock Lee's first appearances in the anime, and the things he do before that fight :D even though I don't like Rock Lee that much.

I for one hate Rock Lee, his hard work makes me look worse in comparison. Plus, he bitches too much about being a failure. What the hell makes him so fucking great that he thinks he deserves to be better than everyone else? I can understand working hard for a goal like that, but when he couldn't do it, he started crying like a stupid bitch. I also hate that kind-hearted smile of his. What right does he have to smile? That fucking brat needs to learn humiliation. I hope he chokes to death on his high spirits.

*cough* Okay, that might have come off as somewhat bitter and spiteful, but my point is still there. Rock Lee pisses me off.

Rock is a pretty good character, especially for what his image has done for me.

I remember one time, I dressed up like Rock, and for no special occasion at all, I just went into work like that, and all the ladies just snapped and jumped on me, trying to do me all at once.

That alone proves how awesome Rock Lee is.

Who cares if Lee doesnt become a real ninja.

You should get hold of (I think) episodes 21-22 as they are the ones that introduce Lee and his teacher, Gai (who is basically Lee x 50). Their interactions are priceless and one of the highlights of the entire series.

I have to agree, though, that it is a crime to skip episodes like that. Try watching the series as a whole; its definitely worth it.

If you want to talk about who's TEH HAWT, you should take a peek at his sensei.

Maito Gai is 100X better than Lee could ever hope to be. He's the original Beautiful Beast of Konoha. He has the whole hard work thing down pat. He's not limited to taijutsu alone. He can fight just by looking at someone's feet. He made Itachi run off and cry.

Oh, and he's Kakashi's Eternal Rival. That alone makes him worthy of recognition.

If for some strange reason you're not convinced, then you should probably find episodes 21, 22, 31 and 32 for your Lee fix.

humm... I tried to understand your post but for some reason I just can't.

For one, Lee doesn't bitch for being a failure. When he gets knocked down, he comes harder on the second try. Gets knocked down again, he comes faster on the third try. He just pushes himself too hard. The only thing he bitches about is.... well I don't really call it bitbhing but whatever. He only bitches about him not being able to do jutsus. Nothing makes him so fucking great that makes him think he's better than everyone else. I don't ever recall seeing or hearing him say he is better than everyone else. I don't know how you got that vibe off of him.

About him crying like a stupid bitch, they only part where I've seen him cry is the flash backs. Of course he'll cry. He's just a kid. Kid cries all the time. Naruto cries as a kid, Sasuke cried as a kid, Sakura cried as a kid, even Gaara cried. SO why you bitching about him crying when he can't do something? *confused* umm.. I'm not gonna argue my point about lee's smile. He has every right to smile. :p and about the humiliation part. He gave all he had against Gaara and he still lost.. isn't that enough?

Lee doesn't come off as a cocky character to me (unlike someone else *cough*sasuke*cough*) . The only thing he wants to prove is the be a great ninja without using jutsus. He also wants Neji to akwowlegde him. I don't see that as a problem because everyone wants someone to akwonlegde them in the anime.

Meh, Sasuke and Neji don't impress me that much. I think Lee, Naruto, and Gaara are the top 3 genins.

Rock Lee is well cool. I hope he finally gets to fight Sasuke one day and opens up his gates. Anyways, whenever there was something I couldn't be bothered to do, I would think of Rock Lee and his determination and hard work. I still watch Episodes 49-50 a lot because the Rock Lee vs Gaara is my favourite fight in the series.

Everything about that scene was perfect. The look on gaara and Neji's face. The way gai sensei just smiled. Kakashi and his sharingan staring wide eyed at lee. Definitely one of the top 5 "moments" of the entire naruto series.
