DFC (Petite) vs Oppai (Big Bust)
 

this is the question that has been on my mind for quite some times, and i would like to see others opinion on it. Personally i get tired of big bust girls quite easily, especially when the show is filled with them, but it is not the case with the show filled with lolis. Dont get me wrong i do like girls with well proportions, and the best one that i see as the representative of big bust is Mizuho from onegai teacher. Well what do you guys prefer to see girls in anime, big bust, loli, both, or neither, LET'S VOTE :D

You should have had another choice: "normal bust" ... I would have chosen that in addition to petite or "loli" (which isn't only "flat").

I find small petite women with proportional measurements cute... what I don't find cute are the "boobs bigger than her head" characters in some anime. I think the only fairly well endowed character I liked I can think of was Nerine from Shuffle! -- and even then her bust seemed to vary dramatically depending on the phase of the moon.

O on that, i just wanna see the choices that represent the polar extremes in anime, it is true that most girls are "normal size". I just wanna see if a big bust and a loli are presented, which one would people prefer.

Oppai's (aka big boobs) opposite is not loli, but pettanko, or most anime watchers know it as Delicious Flat Chest (DFC)

Loli is just a subset of DFC, where the most widely accepted definition of loli is the requirement that she must be a DFC.

Do note that there's a multitude of DFC's who aren't considered loli, for example Dragon Slave girl of Slayers (Lina Inverse) and 'Having a flat chest is a status symbol' girl from Shuffle (Mayumi). My personal favourite would be the Revolutionary Girl of Hayate no Gotoku, as Hinagiku is just <3

Myself, I lean more towards DFC, mainly because the insecurity anime usually portrays these girls as having is a big moe element for me. But that's the only reason why I find DFC cute, and the moment they lose said insecurity (aka they're a loli, and they have no reason being insecure as they haven't hit puberty yet), I find average girls and even big busted girls to be cuter than them.

Basically, it all comes down to DFC > normal > oppai > loli

My preference always changed in the past, now I do not have a specific preference, any bust size can be cute or sexy. Because its not decided by just the bust size alone.

i like loli's instead of DFC, they are small and cute. Plain DFC is just meh. Big bust usually are big girls in terms of size (not just the bust, but as a whole body), and both of lolis and big bust are easily identified in a show. :D

I don't think Mizuho from onegai teacher is a good representative of big bust. Specifically because big is a relative term and Mizuho's bust relative to other animes(eiken, divergence eve,or gravion) would not be considered big. That said, I find big bust more appealing to me. Now granted the breasts have to be drawn well and be in the limits of what is good proportion for the character(gravion, witchblade) not like eiken's.

The reason why I find big bust appealing to me is because character with big breasts are usually adults therefore I can relate to those characters more. I find loli character demeanor matches their personality small innocent, childish.

But if you don't like DFC how can you like loli? After all it's well known DFC is part of loli.

Obviously the OP was using the term as a physical description ("child-like or elfin petite characteristics")

While the topic is pretty inane to start with the existing thread title and poll choices are a prime choice of derail material. Both the thread and poll are going to be edited to try and at least keep the thread on-topic. If you want to define or discuss what "loli" means then I suggest you post in one of the existing threads on the topic.

Bust sizes are indifferent to me; Some of my favorite characters are my favorites because of their personalities, and their bust sizes are an independent factor, if not a factor that doesn't exist in the first place...

Let's say amongst my roster of favorite characters, I'll pull out 4 examples:
Mayumi Thyme (Shuffle)
Shinobu Maehara (Love Hina)
Yuna Akashi (Negima)
Soifon (Bleach)

Mayumi's practically a surfboard, Soifon's pretty average, and Shinobu and Yuna are relatively endowed...There aren't any patterns that could be based on the bust variable...

I however don't really care for characters that have boobs that are just way out of proportion, personality variable negligible... >_<

Does it really matter? To me character is more important bust size.

Well, for me it isn't thaaaaaat important, the only problem I have is when the breasts are too big compared to the body, it looks awful, IMO.

Why not in-between? ¯\(º_o)/¯ Huge breasts just break suspension of disbelief and aren't attractive at all, especially when they don't match the body type. (I'm not counting Eiken-class "breasts" here, either, as those monstrosities can't be classified as part of the human anatomy. :heh:) But on the other hand, it's nice to have something there. :D Not that there's anything wrong with DFC characters (Hinagiku, Mayumi, etc...). :cool:

i think there should be 4 choice.

Small
Medium
Large
X-Large

I would go with Medium and Large so for the poll In between and Oppai.
