where to download manga viewers?
Hello just a new user here on manga. I need to know where can I download
Manga viewers. To like read the manga. If anyone would like to help. Plz. oh and if this is a sticky im sorry i couldn't find any other pages i tried looking. |
I'd suggest that you use ACDSee. It can read files inside a zip file, automatically resize them to fit your screen (or not) and a lot else.
It is also a free trial. |
Irfanview is better. Completely free and can link to your codecs/media players so you can do screencaps and edit like a basic paint progam.

Try CDisplay, same ability to view images inside zip/rar like ACDSee but its free.

Manga Viewer of Toriyama's World. There is a lot of minor bugs and little flaws in it but I always end up using it for some reason.

I'm personally rather fond of ComicsViewer.
It's fast, can load directly from ZIP and RAR files and was made specifically for (Asian) comics. |
I personally use FireHand Ember Pro (v3.7.1) as my thumbnail viewer (manga etc) of choice.
(note that this is an older version than currently available) |

That's gotta be some bad omen |
ACDSee v6 really lags my computer, did they make a revision since?
|
Uh... ImageEye?
It allows slide-shows simply by pressing back/forward button and auto-resizes the pic to fit the screen if you want. Quick too. |
Major drawback to ACDsee is the fact that it really nags you to register/buy.
Sure it's a good program but can get really annoying. |
Toriyama's World got a Manga viewer...
|
I use GQview. It's free (GPL2'd) and kicks ass.

I use windows XP's built in image viewer. You can't view the images in a zip file (well... unless you view them one at a time) but otherwise it's got everything you'd need. Plus it's really fast and uses like no memory at all. I uninstalled ACDsee the moment I found out about it.
|
I use the Windows XP Picture Viewer as well. It works great. Never found any need to download a third party viewer.

Windows ImageViewer doesn't work great for me. For example, if I want to view images full screen I have to start the slide show and then pause it, which is annoying (especially when I accidentally unpause it). After exiting full-screen, it goes back to the image I started on. So if I just spent the last 20 minutes reading and all the sudden an IM window pops up or I accidentally hit the wrong key on the keyboard, I have to scavage thru the directory to find that image again (I've actually had the manga spoiled for me once because of this). Image Viewer may be good for some other purposes, but IMO its not for manga.
