Addendum regarding Fate/Zero:
Please remember that, although Fate/Zero is chronologically the prequel of Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, this series might be discovered by those who did not watch the previous series or read the Visual Novel.
Therefore, although events are likely to be connected with the story regarding the 5th Holy Grail War, please do not post any F/SN spoiler in any F/Z thread.

First half definetly less impact than reading the LN
and idk, is it just me or they draw Gil face weird :(

and holy shi- one of the random black long hair knight(?) in rider's Np is hawt XD
and waver in the next episode preview is just Nghhh //make me want to hug him//

I always imagined them drinking on a table, not sitting on the ground :heh:
Also didn't Gilgamesh wear casual clothes in the LN for this? ...At least I thought he did.
Well whatever, seeing Ionian Hetaiori animated was just awesome. :D
Rip the assassins though, they truly had no chance.

Everything in this episode was off-model EXCEPT for Ionioi Hetairoi.

And quite frankly, I think it was very well worth the tradeoff.

EDIT: I've just noticed that Tokiomi made no appearance in this episode at all despite having a line in the episode preview. I'm thinking that this episode will most likely be expanded in the blu-ray.

9/10 because of King of Bros awesomeness and charisma, it could have been a 10 but there was quality and less impact on the first half.

That was Epic, Rider's Noble Phantasm definitely suits him.

Poor Assassin, the female one decided resistance was futile, lol.

A noble phantasm worthy of a king indeed.

I think the first half is the funniest part of all Fate/Zero to me. I really LOL at seeing Gilgamesh using Gate of Babylon to take out wine, Saber sitting silently when Gilgamesh talks to Rider while looking like 'What the hell am I doing here sitting with my enemies? Kiritsugu will greatly displeased with this.' (Just to clarify I know what she was really thinking in the novel.) I wish Iri will talk to Waver, but her looking at Waver when Gilgamesh arrives and Waver's response was priceless.

Between Rider's and Saber's way of kingship, I much agree with Saber's, just not to the extreme of not showing emotions and be all alone. But I agree with Rider how one should not regret and changed the past, it was good that he criticised Saber on that.

Poor Saber it felt like bullying. And they say being Lancer is suffering.

Iskandar shows why he is the king of bros.

Gil brought the drinks and the other two was impressed. Oh crap Gil just thought Saber as moe. As if Caster wasn't problem enough.

Irisviel having the expression what the heck is your servant doing in my property! Waver going it not my fault!

There is no more fitting score than 10 only.

The episode has left out couple things. Most notably the exchange between Kotomine and Tokiomi that results in sending in Assassins.

But man, what a scene.

Would like to know the reason behind that.

Cutting a lot out, at that point, Rider's the only one that Tokiomi believes has any hope of defeating Gilgamesh, and so he order Kotomine to send Assassin whom will either kill Waver or force Rider to show his trump card.

As for the episode: as a LN reader, this scene is my 2nd favorite in the entire Fate/Zero series ( my favorite will occur later and it involves Rider), and that part was done justice. So I'm happy.

Television broadcasts. The episode preview for 11 has lines from Gilgamesh and Tokiomi that were never uttered (the latter didn't even make an appearance) so I'm thinking that this episode was cut for time. They even ditched the OP to fit everything in one episode.

Good thing they decided to dedicate an entire episode to loli rin adventures :uhoh:.

Though I suppose it would be even more odd to had split this episode into two by putting some of it in last episode.
