Its based on a seinen 4-panel manga thats serialized in the seinen(young men's) moe 4-panel manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Carat.

For now there are 4 volumes released of this manga.

This turned out to be the Hidamari Sketch special that was announced back in April. I somewhat expected it to be the case, and mentioned that it might be the special in the New Announced Anime thread.

I'll ask an admin to change the title of this thread to "Hidamari Sketch×365 Special".

hehe how many are going to see the title of this thread (before it gets changed) and get excited about it... and how many of them will be dissapointed to know that it turned out to be the special and not a third season :D

I'm looking forward to Nori and Nazuna.

It would be nice if they did eventually appear in the anime. In any case, I'm hoping that eventually this special will be followed by another season.

I would seriously LOL if Noto gets to voice Nazuna. It's been a while since she did a straight-forward shy girl.

According to this blog, it'll be released on October 28.

Why wouldn't we see two of the main characters? :p

I really think they'll save Nori and Nazuna for the third season.

The guy at this Japanese blog mentioned the possibility of it being a Ume-sensei special.

In any case, I'm eagerly awaiting for it. More Hidamari and more metapod are always good news. I have been eagerly waiting for this for long, so I guess afew more months will pass quickly :D

Quite tempted to order the limited edition copy for that USB stick. Oh so tempting.
