Suggestions for some good movies or series?
 

Hey,

I'd appreciate it if you guys could give me some advise as to which anime are worth downloading/buying on the web, since I don't know anything by myself and everything I've watched so far were refered to me by some guys on the web. So, here I am hoping you guys could give me some good anime! I'll list the movies and series I've seen and liked:

As you can see most of them are well known throughout the anime community, so do you guys have some movies or series that I must see in order to be a true anime follower? Also, if you have some, please name the site where you can download them as I've only used Suprnova and Animesuki so far. Thanks in advance.

i suggest Gungrave its a very good series about the mafia, guns etc but its liscenced

I have to suggest Noir, as it's my number 1 anime :D it's about two female assassins, it's very dramatic and stylish and it has the best music ever, it's licensed by ADV and worth buying :)
I would also sugest my number 2 anime, Madlax, but it's complicated since there is no "legal/ethical" way of getting it now, since its license has been announced by ADV but the dvds release is still unknown... :(

what i strongly suggest you try is one piece

watch ep 1 see what u think for yourself im quite certain you wont be disappointed

its like naruto and hunter x hunter in ways.

naruto wants to become hokage
gon wants to find his dad to do that he has to become a great hunter
goku wants to become a great warrior
luffy wants to become pirate king (one piece)

they all have goals. im quite certain you will love one piece. If you get one piece please let me know what you think :D

also noted u typed gundam wing... you may want to try gundam seed

Don't forget about the Kenshin OVA's, Ghost in the Shell Innocence movie, the Evangelion movies.
Also, everybody has to see Great Teacher Onizuka, it's hard to compare to anything but it's more than worthy of your time !

Those are the series I think are the most worth downloading and watching.

Millennium Actress - Probably the best anime film I've ever seen. It has great animation, really amazing music by Hirasawa Susumu, and it has a touching story.

Scrapped Princess - Possibly one of the best animes out there. It's licensed but DVDs are coming out

Liscensed stuff;

If you liked Vampire Hunter D, check out Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Its actually better than the first movie.

Also, check out Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, its a series, and its different from the movie, but quite good.

I would second Gungrave, very good series.

If you liked EVA, check out Raxephon. Excellent series.

You might also try;

Lunar Legend Tsukihime (Shingetsutan Tsukihime) first DVD release is out.
Last Exile, great show and the DVD release is complete.

You have a pretty diverse list so far, is there a particular genre you like? Have you tried any comedy or romance series? If you just sampling to find something that you like, there are a lot of good series ini different genres that are availilble for download right now.

*Narutaru - Pokemon from hell

Scrapped Princess - Drama/Fantasy/Sci Fi, Highly recommended
Hellsing - Vampire/action
Shingetsutan Tsukuhime - Vampire/action/love

A : Please do not watch these shows back to back. We dont want you killing yourself, after all. These are depressing shows. Watch something happy inbetween.
