What does the patch cover?

Keroko 2009-01-29 00:45

More importantly, where can we find said patch?

bahamut zero 2009-01-29 01:34

http://www.tsukuru.info/tlwiki/index...Little_Busters!

And I don't know what it covers, there is no description x__x

Working link (your exclamation mark got thrown outside the url for some reason):

Just installed it myself, there really is translated text, it's awsome!

Keroko 2009-01-29 05:38

According to the Wiki, the patch contains "the first 5 days-ish and some of the minigames translated. Most of the images are done too, although the nicks are not set in stone."

But I'll take what I can get. :3

By the way, I seem to have a glitch on my Little Busters! install. Sometimes the audio doesn't play, I can see the text appearing, but I hear no talking.

Key games usually aren't voiced (clannad got a PS2 port so the patch took the voices from there, and Little Busters! had no such port).

bahamut zero 2009-01-29 10:58

But the demo has voices

And that has been abolished with LB.
LB and LB EX are voiced to begin with. So don't state something totally random without checking the game, that has nothing to do with Keroko's issue.

Keroko 2009-01-29 11:46

It's an occasional thing, one time the voices play just fine, the next line you hear a little 'tick' as if the voices begin playing, but are cut off.

Elvin 2009-01-29 15:12

Ah, I didn't know that, sorry ;-; I haven't bought the game yet, I'll probably wait until they're finished... my to play list is pretty backed up right now

Just curious, did they voice the main character this time?

lightl 2009-01-30 01:09

I know in the mini game the main character has a voice but dotn think so ine the other parts of the game. Someone correct me if i am wrong

You are right (obviously i would say :heh:) - Riki is not voiced during the "normal" parts of the game. And actually when he is voiced, it is by the same seiyuu that voices Rin !:heh: Having a non-voiced male lead is the norm though.

sora12 2009-01-30 09:48

unfortunately mine is EX so sad.

lightl 2009-01-30 12:32

I share in your saddness:( my copy is EX aswell

Keroko 2009-02-13 05:02

I've given up trying to fix the audio glitch. I seem to be the only one with the problem, judging by how I've completely failed to find any info on the existence of this bug, much less a solution, so I'm suspecting there's a hiccup between the game and my soundcard somewhere.

So here's a second question: I have another laptop, though that one has Vista on it. Does Little Busters run on Vista?

lightl 2009-02-13 08:14

yep it should , , both getchu.com listing and the official site have Vista listed

Don't quote me on this, but I think you could make your EX version to work with the patch. I haven't seen the patch myself (oh the irony), but it should include SEEN.txt or a bunch of SEEN0XXX.txt, those are the translated script files. If you replace your existing SEEN.txt (or in case there was a bunch of SEEN0XXX.txt coming with the patch just copy them into the directory with the SEEN.TXT) with it, you should be able to run the game. But I can' guarantee it'll work properly, it's just something for you to try, if you feel bored. And don't forget to backup all files before you overwrite them, it should be common sense, but I'd rather still remind you.

It worked, but had to remove the EX letters from file directory otherwise the patch kept saying please install in little Busters directory
