That is the best news I have heard so far in 2010! ... I just don't know where exactly they want to end? It's not like the manga had a finishing point before going on hiatus. |
Omg great news!
The manga has lots of fanservice nad horror but thats why it's awesome <3 |
Bumped the manga thread with this recent announcement.
Whoever handles this adaptation had better put some major effort into it. Sato's unique visual style can easily be butchered if done poorly, plus all those action scenes are going to require a good degree of animation. As for the manga, I hope they just start ending it soon so at least the anime won't be forced to wrap things up (*coughTokkocough*). |
OMFG now I only need Mirai Nikki!
|
Great news, I started reading it some time ago, but stopped at some point. Maybe I'll continue now that there's coming an anime adaption of it.

This is amazing, I've been holding back from reading Highschool of the dead due to the hiatus, now they'll finally continue AND we get an anime? -bounces around- <3
|
Always wanted to check it out but kept forgetting, guess now I'll just wait for the anime.

Oooo.... now this is some really great news!
Very much looking forward to this, as long as they create a truthful adaption (and not an atrocity like what Shinbo did with Dance in the Vampire Bund) |
Looking forward to this, even better news that the manga is continuing.
|
Yeah double good news. The manga is back and become anime
i am so happy hearing this |
Woh. Certainly didn't expect the manga to resume anytime soon.
This has the chance to rock. Here's hoping. |
Excellent....
|
This will be good.
|
It better be a studio that can keep up with the gore. Something like Madhouse or IG. Otherwise, I am glad that the manga continues!
|
This is awesome, including the continuation of the manga. One of my all-time favorites FINALLY \o/
As long as it isn't SHAFT... |
Life is good... I wonder who is going to animate it?
|
Wow...
Never expected that HotD get animated... |
oh my lord best news so far this week. i love this series come on i mean who doesnt love a good Zombie/Harem series.
|
I am going to see how the anime adaptation turns out . Read bits and parts of the manga .

HotD anime, ballin'?
Fuck yeah. So excited. |
Currently reading the manga after I'd heared the news.
|
I'm praying for MadHouse doing it.
PS: Oh, yeah, and music must be done by Ishii Kouji |
Anime announcement + manga resuming = perhaps there is a god.

Here's hoping they tone down the fanservice a bit. It wasn't as appealing to me, felt kind of unnecessary at some parts of the story.
And I really hope for an adaption from Madhouse as well. |

thats what i hate when you get a great manga/light novel series that has a quite a bit of fan service but still a great and gripping plot and characters it works really well. then when they turn it into an anime they will just focus so much on the fan service and ruin the series. so im hoping this highschool of the dead will be done well. |

Just read a bit of the manga, artwork and story look pretty good.
So a question to anyone who would know, why was this series put on hiatus? |
Ooooh, another must watch anime on my list.
@Phocus I read somewhere that it was put on hiatus so the author could work on another series. |
Why are people suddenly up against SHAFT? I would say they are hit or miss like madhouse. They don't have all so awesome turn outs. This doesn't look like a kyo-ani show at all. I would say maybe JC Staff ,Madhouse, I.G, bee train or someone like that.

Is the manga good ?
I like the plot specially when it comes to Zombies :) Yeah , i like Horror movies with Zombies ;) So if the manga is good , i'll keep my eyes on the anime (hope it'll follow the manga too ) |

I'm a big fan of the manga for a while now. Do FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUcking want.

Well Mad House is really good in producing a horror series. There the one who produce Death Note and Choas Head, so that it wasn't a bother for me if Mad House take this series. |
Now this is ONE series I would KILL to see done properly. I totally love the manga and was sad when it went into hiatus. Don't disappoint please!!!
