Favorite trap character in anime ?

What's your favorite trap character in animes ?

My favorite is Hastur from Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (pic related). He's so cute that I fell in love with him without getting losing my SAN points, even though he appears to be annoying at times. He made the show even more enjoyable for me. I also enjoyed Kamatari's character in Rurouni Kenshin.

Note : Any favorite trap character is allowed as long it doesn't matter if he/she's a trap or a reverse trap.

"But he's a guy."

That's a hard question, there's a lot of good traps.

Not really anime related, but Fujiwara no Mokou and Minamitsu Murasa are pretty delicious reverse traps. Saber also look pretty handsome in Fate/Zero.

Just give it one? two? weeks and you will all be singing a different tune.

Although not technically a "trap", Aladdin's girlish cuteness is partly due to the character originally being a female character design.
(The original designs for Alibaba was a big macho man. :heh:)

Anyways.......... couple of weeks and chants of Aladdin shall consume this thread.

Do Fujiwara no Sai (Hikaru no Go) & Kino (Kino no Tabi) count?

How about Haruhi from Ouran?

But I like them because of their characters, not because of gender confusion.

My favorite... well right now i can think only of Haku from Naruto, i swear i thought he was a girl, many times even after it was revealed that he is a guy

Kirito 2012-09-28 10:59

My favourites from the top of my head right now are:

Yukimura from Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai and Hideyoshi from Baka to Test. Those two are quite powerful, but Hideyoshi... what a frightening trap.:uhoh:

Lately, at the book store, I saw a light novel with a very moe trap. The story seems to be about a guy going to a girls' school, disguised as a girl. Unfortunately, I can't seem to remember the title nor the publisher LOL.:heh:

Jun from Happiness!
Hastur from Haiyore! Nyaruko-san
Hideyoshi from Baka Test

In this order. T-That's all!

I was just thinking about my answer Sai from Hikaru no Go. I guess he isn't really a trap because of his clothes, but in my ignorance at the time from reading the manga (I didn't have his anime voice to go by) I was personally surprised when he turned out to be a guy. :heh:

:

Those are extremely feminine bishounen.
Traps are girls at first, until you check "closer". Hence the schmuck getting "trapped". The most famous example in video game IS Bridget. The confusion and resulting embarassment IS the key difference between a very feminine bishounen and a trap.

Does Mizuho (Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru) count? :heh:

ninryu 2012-09-28 15:08

There's also the what's-his-name Otonashi fanboy from Angel Beats.

Does Setsuna from negima count as reverse trap?

Not an anime, but Aoi Tanemochi from Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to, because whereas in most anime the joke is:

"He's so cute but he's a guy so I can't have sex with him."

In Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to the joke is reversed to:

"He's a guy but he's so cute that I'm gonna try to have sex with him anyways." (partially because all the guys in this comic are sex-starved maniacs.)

This is not only hilarious and refreshing but, as someone who is offended by the homophobia sometimes present in manga, this way of doing it is much more pro-LGBT.
