help with watching anime on my new powerbook?

i just got a new powerbook running osx, and i'm still getting used to it. i'm trying to figure out how to play episodes on it. the default quicktime obviously won't work, so i went to divx.com, since divx is what i used to use on my old laptop, but the player is only available for windows. none of my friends use macs, so i was hoping someone here could help me out. thanks!

Why don't you use VLC then? It does not need any other codecs and is avaible for Mac.

There's also an MPlayer port for OSX:
http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/

VLC and MPlayer should be able to handle everything you want.
