Images specific forum?
 

I did a search first but the only thing I saw was the Want to suggest a new Series Discussion forum? See here! closed thread, however my question is not quite a new series forum, but more like a general anime related Images forum.

One of my favorites threads in the different series sub-forums are the Image threads, I probably browse the ones from my favorite shows twice or more per week, however due to only a few selected series having their own forums, many other series that might have a nice amount of worthy image material to be posted, end up with nothing but the discussions threads on the fansubbed, licensed, unaired or even in the games forum.

So I would like to suggest, or to at least put it up for consideration, is the allocation of a forum exclusively for image threads, it might have a place in the Anime Related Topics or maybe as sub-forum of General Anime. Special rules could be set so moderators would be the only ones allowed to create the threads just as in the Current/Older Series section.

Well, just wanted to bring this into the table and see what reactions this could draw among users and admins.

Oh, actually I had never seen that thread before, but looking at its popularity, an images forum might be rather far from true.

However that thread could be worth to be stickied to help it grow (much better than going to /a/ indeed).

Our primary focus is discussion. We're a discussion board as opposed to an image board. With that in mind, I don't think we are likely to create an section of the forum just for people to make image heavy posts. The Chaos has provided a link to what is probably the closest compromise you're likely to see in the foreseeable future.

Edit: We have quite a few sickies in that forum at the moment, I don't want to add any more. I have tagged the thread now though, so you can find it with the other image threads.

Ok, I understand, and the tags will be usefull since sometimes the search function is too broad in results.

Anyway, I bookmarked the thread to keep an eye on it, and thanks NightWish for the explanation and The Chaos for the link.
