Difference between Adobe Photoshop CS and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0

So, what are the differences?

My bro has Adobe Photoshop license for 2. He told me that i can use the free license. And I have a Photoshop Elements 2.0 license unused myself...

It would be very helpfull if you guys can enlighten me the difference between the 2 programs.

p/s I would like to edit my the pics taken by my digital camera. I've been using ACDsee bundled editing programs so far.... <--- they have litle funtionality though.

p/s(2) And what's Adobe Premier and Adobe Illustrator? What are they used for?

Premiere is for making a video from multiple sources, most commonly an AMV :p

Illustrator is for drawing things.

Photoshop is for editing photos, although people use it for drawing things as well.

Photoshop Elements is a cheap version of Photoshop with some features taken out.

GIMP is like Photoshop, except it's free.

Photoshop CS (8.0) uses vectors in it. if i'm right, elements doesn't.
