Synopsis from Wikipedia:

Quote:

The world of Ao no Exorcist consists of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. The first is the world in which the humans live, Assiah. The other is the world of demons, Gehenna. Ordinarily, travel between the two, and indeed any kind of contact between the two, is impossible. However the demons can pass over into this world by possessing anything that exists within it. Satan is the god of demons, but there's one thing that he doesn't have and that's a container in the human world that is powerful enough to hold him! For that purpose, he created Okumura Rin, his son from a human woman, but will his son agree to his plans, or will he become something else...? After killing Rin's guardian Father Fujimoto in an attempt to bring Rin back to the Demon world, it led to Rin's journey on becoming an Exorcist in order to defeat Satan.

F*CK YEAH!

Love this manga :3

I also wish they'll animate Arago

MisaoFan 2010-11-27 06:43

I hope that Nobuhiko Okamoto, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Saori Hayami and Daisuke Kishio are part of the cast, TMS as animation studio and Oldcodex performs the opening theme song.

isn't this manga way to short for an anime? the last time I heard about it is, it's around chapter 18 or something.

Though I love this manga. -_- really good stuff deserves an anime.

MisaoFan 2010-11-27 09:34

To make simple, the anime follows closely the manga : each episode will be based on one chapter of manga.

tsunade666 2010-11-27 11:03

well it's a monthly manga. But still the story is just starting. -_- I wonder how would the anime turn out to be.

Same_Shark 2010-11-29 05:07

Sounds interesting. I'll be following this one.

Ravenblitz 2010-11-29 08:26

i hope they will adapt it good... can't wait to see this animated as well

Ao no Exorcist will start airing in spring 2011.

(See the text in the bottom-left corner: 春放送開始予定!)

Hmm. Possibly taking over Tegami Bachi Reverse's timeslot since they're both Jump SQ. series? I can't help but speculate already...

tsunade666 2010-12-01 16:09

wow a lot earlier than I expect. The last chapter I read is chapter 20. I wonder how far it can go and how the story would proceed.

The most likely channel to premiere this anime will be Tokyo MX, running every Thursday nights.

Not really open yet, but I'll be back in less than 14 days. Until then, you can kill 100 Coal Tars if you wish. But let me tell you it doesn't give you any special reward... :heh: The page definitely leaves me hopeful for a good anime design, in any case.

I don't know, my dear MisaoFan. The website is linked to SonyMusic and I don't think they've ever produced anything on that Tokyo MX timeslot. It could still suggest TV Tokyo, though. (Or Fuji TV on noitaminA... nante ne~)
Edit: ah, and the domain's also registered to Aniplex. So yeah, either TV Tokyo or noitaminA, the latter being very unlikely but not impossible since Shiki was from Jump SQ. as well.

If the music recorder is SonyMusic, I list Porno Graffiti as opening performer. There's a Aniplex sunday timeslot on Tokyo MX where they aired the current OreImo,, so it's possible to premiere the title.

Hell, yes! I can only imagine how amazing this show will turn out (or unamazing...)! But, dude, I'm so excited. The only problem is that the show will most likely be short (only 11 or 12 episodes) due to lack of chapters.

MisaoFan 2010-12-11 04:14

Imagine that the anime will have 24 episodes, the latest episodes are fillers.

Translation for the Staff/Casts/Broadcasting date is in here:
http://animapple.blogspot.com/2010/1...cast-team.html

It will be airing on April 3rd, Sunday 5 o'clock PM in TBS/MBS.

Leo_Otaku 2010-12-18 02:35

This is high on to watch list!!!

Katapan 2010-12-18 04:55

Are... you... kidding me? Nichigo? Excuse me while I go die.

... yeah, totally did not see this one coming. This is like my early Christmas present. The staff is better than I could ever have hoped for, I don't think you can get better of a budget than this, the trailer looked great as a result... plus, the Nichigo/Doroku producers haven't had their go at adapting an ongoing shounen manga since FMA, and we all know how popular this one turned out to be. Not that I can tell if this effort is going to pay off, but I applaud it anyway.
Now if only we could get 50 episodes with high-quality fillers, to follow with the FMA comparison...

The cast is also spot on: Okamoto should make a really fun male lead. Hanazawa was a must for Shiemi. Then you've got Kamiyan as Mephisto Pheles, which will be simply awesome.

Damn, it'll be hard to wipe that smile off my face today.

fertygo 2010-12-18 09:17

The F ?
What kind of luck the mangaka have lol, the series just recently started but the anime project is pretty ambitious.

MisaoFan 2010-12-18 09:48

Since it was animated by A-1 Pictures and premiere on this timeslot, I guess that it will be scheduled for 24-26 episodes : the first episodes adapt the manga chapters so closely, even during in the middle of the story, but in the end, we'll have a original story full of filler episodes. So, Ao no Exorcist take the faithfuless format of Seikon no Qwaser, like I said.
