Shaft, enough said.

Well this is pretty good news, though not remotely surprising. If it's out by spring(and most likely will be) then odds are pretty good this'll end up being the Nichigou show, though I'm more curious how long it'll be. I have the feeling Silver Spoon isn't going to end up being that long a series but I doubt it would end in time for the anime to cover everything. Guess we'll see.

Wouldn't mind Bones animating it, but Bones would most likely mean Aniplex and that I wouldn't look very forward to...

solomon 2012-12-28 21:24

Maybe i AM JUST clueless but color me surprised.

This is quietly one of the best manga I am reading now, but it didn't scream anime adaption AT ALL.

Has it been selling THAT WELL? Well I am definetly happy, hope they get fitting seiyuu and the animation isn't too crappy. I look forward to learning all the Japanese Agricultural jargon!

The manga is a very fun slice-of-life, looking foward to the anime.

zeniselv 2012-12-30 00:17

the manga its a lot of stuff, but an anime of something like this its not easy to make, i hope good staff behind it.

RRW 2012-12-30 01:08

By some reason the manga did not click me. I will try couple of episode

Stefkov 2012-12-30 18:59

As much as I want Bones to animate this, and I can't think of any other studio doing a good job of it, lately they've been doing a lot of action-y type shows. I don't know if that really matters but Silver Spoon is essentially Harvest Moon in Hokkaido, I can't remember the last time Bones made something as laid back as a slice of life.

Confirmed to be airing on the noitaminA block. Probably either a Summer or Fall 2013 show since the Katanagatari rerun is in the Spring.
Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread)

Notimiya eh? It definently works...wait what's airing in the other notimiya slot in spring alongside Kangatari? The show probably is better off airing in Summer or Fall but I'm curious. Really wonder what'll happen with the Nichigou slot since I figured this would be a shoe-in for it.

Nothing is airing alongside Katanagatari since its episodes are 50 minutes long it'll take up both slots.

I heard the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 remake will be airing on Nichigou starting this spring.

dresden 2013-01-12 23:45

Fuck yes, I love One Piece.

Dop 2013-01-13 09:26

Good to hear of some new material being commissioned for Noitamina. I didn't know anything about the manga before but after a quick look round it sounds interesting and, what's more, from what i've seen it looks like it'll be a good fit for Noitamina.

There's life in the old dog yet!

Student no.0 2013-01-13 19:08

This getting an anime is excellent news indeed. Might buy the DVDs if it's good. Hope the manga gets officially released in English too.
