Garage Kits are usually extremely difficult to find. You also have to fully assemble and paint them. Normally, not many are made (20~100), and are sold at some events in Japan. However, some companies like ques Q take garage kits and mass-produce them as PVC figures for sale, so there's still hope.

Wait and see what the big companies come to offer. SAO hasn't even aired yet but I'm sure there will be some truly amazing figures made if you give it time.

Were the Asuna Towel and Cushions exclusives somewhere? Haven't been able to find a place (besides eBay) that's selling the ;/ (Not even a mention of being sold out anywhere).

I believe they were (and maybe still are?) being sold here.

Fans who buy every DVD or Blu-ray Disc volume
Man, that's going to cost a pretty penny. It's a creative way of enticing more people to buy the DVD/Blu-rays, though.

Damn that sword looks badass, i'd love to own it, but i doubt i ever will own it or any other replica of it.

Wild Goose 2012-07-16 13:30

Waiting for the inevitable figurines... especially the cast-off SAO Asuna~ 8)

Cast o- *SLASH*

Wild Goose has been killed by Kirito.

I love that sword too but man, that is quite a catch to get it.:heh: Hopefully another place will sell it separately sometime in the future.

SAO is the first series in awhile that's convinced me to buy the JPN blu-ray releases. I'll prob end up getting the LE/First Print versions of all the volumes, though I doubt that sword will be available to overseas buyers. I'm just hoping the normal online vendors will have nice store exclusives to make up for it.

Heh, I can guarantee that there will be tons of cosplayers out there who manage to make that sword for under $50 and it'll still look great. xD Interesting idea for a giveaway though!

depends if that is a real sword (metal) or a cardboard fake.

Deltaray 2012-07-16 14:09

If that is real forged sword with well, paint I suppose, that would be one hell of a price.

GDB 2012-07-16 14:11

I'm sure it's a real sword, since otherwise all that just for a chance to win cardboard? Doesn't seem practical. However, I doubt it's "forged". It'd probably just cut like a lot of replica swords are. Much cheaper, but still retains the "metal" factor.

sky black swordman 2012-07-16 18:20

:hyper-^v^: The Elucidator.....I SO WHAT IT BUT THE CHANCES OF GETTING IT ARE LOW.:T_T:

On a side note there maybe be something else for Asuna's sword and Kirito's other sword Dark Repulser.

Fallen3dge 2012-07-16 18:43

Cosplayers dream. Whoever gets it is an epic winner
