Welcome to Monogatari Series - Favorite Character(s) Poll - the place where you can express all of your love towards your favorite Monogatari Series characters. Here in the following are the list of characters who have made their appearance as of Nisemonogatari:

Please remember this thread is based on all the characters that have made their appearances till Nisemonogatari. Therefore, please do not post any spoilers, new character references, etc. in here. Such post will be dealt with harsh penalty.

I voted all of the choices. though I dont really feel anything for senjougahara's father, I added him since he'd be the only one who didnt get my vote ;)

Oh boy, oh boy.

I love just about every character in this series. Narrowing it down is extraordinarily difficult, but I'll try to limit it to my top 5, or I'd probably be abusing the word "favorite."

Let's start this thing off right...

Senjougahara Hitahi. Senjougahara is without a doubt the character that intrigues me the most. She's also the character that, also without a shred of doubt, attracts me the most. Her fascinating, domineering personality is a force to reckon with. She has a commanding presence, and every second she's on screen I'm spellbound. The clever dialogues between her and Araragi are likely my favorite parts of the entire series. Uniquely charismatic, witty, intensely beautiful and, let's be honest, scary as hell; she is my favorite character of the series and a true dream girl.

Araragi Koyomi. Though Nisemonogatari tarnished his reputation a little bit in my book, he is still the flagship character. His clever dialogue, and moreover, his tone of voice and inflection, really sell the series. Great voice, cool attitude, great taste in girls: Ararararagi's got it all.

Sengoku Nadeko. Let's be honest. Sengoku is one of the cutest things in existence. Her soft voice, gorgeous character design and cute personality makes her a sure-win. There's nothing to dislike here, she is simply a lovable, wish-you-were-alive-so-I-could-see-you-smile kind of character. (Too creepy?) I also like the more forward turn she took in Nise, which resulted in some funny, funny scenes. If I hear her say "Koyomi-oniichan" one more time, I think I'll probably die. Smiling, of course.

Hachikuji Mayoi. Once again, it comes down to dialogue. If Senjougaharai is the queen of clever, then Hachikuji is the princess of playfulness. Her teasing, smarmy and witty banter with Araragi comprise some of the series most hilarious moments. It's all complimented by her super-expressive and comical facial expressions, as well as her physical antics. The sheer absurdity of such a lithe girl carrying that mountain-sized backpack is a humorous sight in and of itself. Hachikuji: She's hella funny.

Black Hanekawa. Hanakawa in her normal form is probably my least favorite character. I don't dislike her, far from it, she just doesn't stand out when compared to the rest of these sublimely awesome characters. Her cat-form, however, is a different matter entirely. Playful, mischievous and funny, she really lives up to her cat heritage. I adore the way she talks, every little verbal tic. I would be remiss if I didn't bring up how outrageously sexy she is too. That's a big selling point, but it's the combined package that makes her an awesome and memorable character.

Honorable mentions go out to Kanbaru, Karen and Shinobu. All fantastic characters, but I have to make the cut-off point somewhere, or I'd list off the entire cast. Great characters all around, these guys and gals will go down in anime history.

Shinobu is by and far my favorite character, and Nise's main draw for me. Nobody else can compare.

Was it wrong for me to vote for every character up there? And as expected, Shinobu is the lead.

Araragi, because he did grow on me in Nise,
Kanbaru, because she is an epic TROLL,
Kagenui, beacuse her design is utterly unique. *o*

Araragi, alpha male is alpha
Ononoki, monotone is nice too

Hitagi's Father-->Perfect in his role^^
Mayoi-->Too much fun

Black Hanekawa - Interesting version of her counter-part.
Kanbaru - Took a level in hotness here in Nise.
Koyomi - Epicly perverted protagonist, this guy rocks.
Oshino - Most bad-ass in the cast.
Ikari Gendo - This dude was cool, despite only appearing for...how long?
Hitagi - My favorite character of the series, so no surprise.
Kaiki/Gambit/Wolverine - Almost as bad-ass as Oshino.

EDIT: Mother of God, did I just forget to vote for Nadeko? No way. :T_T:

Araragi Karen - Because she is so cool when she wants to punch and kick people.
Senjougahara Hitagi - Always liked her, I don't care if she's unique or not, or if she's tsundere or not. Just a fun character.
Kaiki Deishuu - I like his collected depressing attitude. He always has some great BG music hehe.

If there's one glowing compliment I can give to Nise, it's that it made Mayoi one of my favorite characters. She was amazing in that show, enough so that I actually included her in my picks for this poll.

I voted for Hitagi and Hanekawa. They look hot together -shot-

I like Shinobu but the fact that she's 99% seen in her Loli-form turns me off greatly. Her adult form is just too awesome. I wish she just stays like that for good.

Favorite Cast by rank and reason.

1. Senjougahara - the black hair, the sharp tongue... she made me a masochist.
2. Oshino Shinobu - the cute yet dangerous Loli...worth hugging
3. Kanbaru Suruga - the tomboy hottie pervert... alluring
4. Sengoku Nadeko - innocent pervert... tempting
5. Hachikuji Mayoi - another Loli, just cute

My ranking would have change if some characters had given more exposure.

Pretty much this. Senjougahara used to be my favorite in Bakameonogatari, but after seeing Nise, Shinobu took over the series for me.

no Guillotine Cutter on the list. so i go with Oshino Meme

Ooops, I voted before I read I could vote for more than 1 person. Either way, Hanekawa Tsubasa is still my favourite character behind Shinobu. Offtopic: when exactly did we see Senjougahara's dad? Or hear him talk? I don't remember that.
