How long..?

First, I'd like to thank everyone who decided to sub this series.. ^^;; ..

But here's my question.

Is the Naruto manga series still not over in Japan? And if no, how long do you think it will keep going? Do you guys think Naruto will go on for a while?

Vicious 2003-12-10 00:13

Naruto has 22 books, 196 chapters so far. It'll probably continue for another 10 or 20 books.

Man, the manga doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. Maybe a couple of more years. I know that Chapter 197 is the next one going to be released.

Lee-pimp 2003-12-10 00:25

fenikkusu 2003-12-10 03:17

You know, if a show is really that popular in Japan, it is not rare that it may go on for a really, really long time. There are anime out there are over 1500 episodes. I can't remember which show was the longest running, but I know that they have over 1000+ episodes. If anything there was Dragon Ball which in itself laster for over 100 episodes and then there was DBZ which lasted for about 291 episodes I believe if I'm not mistaken. And then there was DBGT which ended in 1997 the same year Sailormoon did after it's 5 year run.

So who knows how long it may last. Kishimoto started the manga a while ago, and it's still here now.

a 1,000 episodes? 0o..

That's like 20 years asuming one episode per week.

Kishimoto is eager to work on another project, but I say if he's smart he should stick with Naruto. But if he wants to follow his dreams then so be it.

Lee-pimp 2003-12-10 20:20

Where you got that from and what does he plan on doing besides Naruto?

If a creator has thoughts on doing other projects, the series won't last as long. He needs to just concentrate on Naruto and work on that to make the best out of it from any other series. Obviously, we're going to experience the history of every character and there's many who hasn't received the spotlight -- Itachi, Kakashi, Naruto, etc.

But from the current standpoint, I find the series will continue for a long time.

i'm sorry but SD gundam sure hurt me.

OFFSPRiNGCo16 2003-12-10 22:42

Why diss DBZ? Yea it is basically pretty crappy, almost no story, pointless battles and contradictions galore...ok I guess thats some reasons. Anyhow, Yea, I am sure Naruto wont be ending anytime soon although I am sure Kishimotto is getting a little bored with it after so much of it. But like said before, he is getting new idea's and probably wants to do something else but I still think he will be sticking with Naruto with all he has until its time for it to end. And end it will, when the time is right, for both him, and the series.
