Checked out the first chapter earlier today and liked it so I guess I'll try to remember to keep an eye out for this one come fall.

It's a good read and like someone pointed out already it's more talk than anything at a certain point to keep the who done it vibe rolling...

Well that aside, I'll be cautiously optimistic about how the anime will turn out.

Quite torn on this one. I'd rather see Andou on something more ambitious (was that it for the new Sword of the Stranger projects? I thought one was still up in the air), but I suppose he can definitely make this more exciting than it actually is, especially if he pulls in the usual animators. Ooshima would definitely work too.

Either way, it looks like a pretty consistent leak...

Ando + Nakamura = pure eye candy regardless of source material.

I hope it happens.

So the Canaan/Hanasaku Iroha combo do a show for bones instead of P.A works,should be interesting.

A Michiru Oshima OST is always something I look forward to.

Good thing this is an adaptation, Mari Okada doesn't usually screw that up. Only when it's an original adaptation is when I get worried. We've already seen what Ando/Okada can do with original work Cannan/Iroha, thankfully this can't be as disappointing as those two since it's an adaptation this time.

Oh, she can screw up an adaptation with the best of them. But the track record is quite mixed there, so we'll see.

Its not like the Material is something brilliant anyway.

Well Ando has been heavily involved with Bones before this, directing Sword of the Stranger as well as doing directing and storyboading for many Bones series. And considering Okada's prominence lately and her history with Ando I guess it's not really a surprise they linked up for this.

Oh god, Mari Okada is the one in charge of the writing? Someone please stop her. Not only so she can get a break, but also so I won't have to suffer through her awful attempts at drama.

Let's just hope there isn't any melodrama in the manga.

Just read the manga and decides for yourself if there's any melodrama or not.

There's still no anime artwork or designs though. I guess they're stretching out the reveal. Next month's Gangan will reveal the main cast, so maybe they'll have a full website renewal by then.

I never judge anime based on the manga. Deadman Wonderland and Sankarea have proven to me that just because a manga works one way doesn't mean the anime won't work another way.

Oh, and from what little I've seen of the manga, the characters seem very generic. That's not really an improvement on the drama thing. But maybe the anime will change my mind on that. I definitely like the Sankarea anime more than the manga, which was pretty dull.
