Looks like volume 1 will be episodes 1-3, volume 2 will be episodes 4-5 and volume 3 will start from episode 6.

With this pacing I wonder where they plan on stopping?

At this pacing, maybe there will be a beach episode after all!!! XDD

If they are with this fast pace maybe they'll go until volume 6 that was the best of Oregairu until now. But even if they go with 2 episodes per volume we'll have:

Vol3 = Episodes 6/7
Vol4 = Episodes 8/9
Vol5 = Episodes 10/11
Vol6 = Episodes 12/13

Which would be a huge letdown, after all the volume 6 needs at least 3 episodes considering there are 350 pages... To finish the season in the volume 5 will be a little strange, but maybe it'll be a good sign for a season 2 :p

2 episode per volume is insane!!! I loved the LN for the conversations, if they're gonna cut those up... Ugh.

I just watched episode 2, and yeah looks like they're indeed finishing volume 1 next episode.

Yeah I'm not liking this too, but volume 2 is already confirmed to be covered in just 2 episodes (120 pages/episode), so it's very possible that the same happens with the other volumes... I would love to see the volume 6 animated, but not like this. I really hope they stop at volume 4 or 5.

About the cuts: We didn't have any Chiba references or parodies :(

Well imo, I think it's best to leave the references/parodies for the anime. If they do include it, now it's gonna be really like a ripoff of Haganai, which is obviously not. >.<

Haganai got popular because of the characters and the otaku humor. Although, oregairu has indeed some otaku humor but it's more of in the interactions/conversations of the characters.

I just saw the illustration of the Ln and it seems that the majority of the Cover is Yui.

Maybe the reason she is treating Hachiman as if he was in the same social standing is because he always keeps poking at her sore spots.

Can someone spoil me a little here? Did Hachiman go through some traumatic experience when he was little or is he just naturally cynical?

Episode two had a small hint I believe, we saw a cat/dog getting killed when he was younger.

I can't believe I missed that. I have got to stop rushing through episodes. Judging from the lack of BGM during that flashback, it must have been really bad. I wonder if we'll learn more when his sister steps up on to the stage?
