This week it's Victoria vs Shantal as they have their match while Corona and Einhart prepare to face each other in their own match. We end this time with Corona's and Einhart's match just beginning.

Nachtwandler 2015-06-06 05:29

oh. So they decided not to cram all the 5 fights in three eps. I wonder what fight will be last: Harry vs Rio or Vivio vs Miura? Probably the latter

The Green One 2015-06-10 02:59

Found the subs for episode 10, took awhile to pop up this time.

Nachtwandler 2015-06-10 04:56

Unfortunately FFF dropped the TR after ep. 2. And only some guys from 2ch translate this.

Good thing I could watch it RAW after reading the manga

Jimmy C 2015-06-10 07:28

Can't say "unfortunately," FFF's ep2 was awful.

Nachtwandler 2015-06-10 08:11

It was fine by me. I don't see how them using different terminology than manga is the reason to dim it bad. Translation itself was not without flaws but decent

FlareKnight 2015-06-10 09:37

Well personally don't care that much for FFF's subbing style, so I'm fine with the translation we are getting.

As to the episode itself, it wasn't a bad one. Chantez gave her all in this one. It was just not a good matchup. Her skills and tactics weren't bad, but she didn't have enough firepower to break through that armor. Really her opponent is a monster. She has both power and endurance. Can take a lot of hits and completely wipe you out in a couple shots. That confidence isn't unwarranted. Will be tough for any of the Nakajima girls to beat her.

And now comes a big showdown. You can't help pulling for Corona in this one. Einhart is a nice person, but she is the easy favorite. Corona's magic isn't a great fit for this kind of competition since she is incredibly vulnerable at the beginning. Though she did show good creativity in finding an opening to kick off her golem create.

No matter the result I hope Corona can give her all. Has to have a fight where no matter what she can see how well she did and how far she's come. Otherwise will just continue seeing herself as inferior.

No matter what, good luck to the winner. They get the former (a year removed) champ? Be tough for either Corona or Einhart in that case.

Also can look forward to Vivio and Miura. After last episode that's a fight I can't wait to see.

The Green One 2015-06-10 10:36

Yeah I'm pulling for Corona too. I've always had a soft spot for the untalented underdog fighting his/her hardest against a talented/gifted opponent. Nothing against Einhart of course, she's a likeable character too.

Yep, that's my feeling as well. Can't help pulling for the underdog in a competition, especially when the underdog is that likable. Even coming up with a move that will strain her body in order to narrow the gap between her and Einhart down a little more.

Triple_R 2015-06-10 13:09

Victoria was very cool and impressive.

One part Touka, one part Saber, one part Fate, and one part Thor!

She could be the lead of a reverse harem where Dr. Doom, Gilgamesh, and Thor compete over her. :heh:

Chantez certainly put on a respectable and fun-to-watch performance, though, even while going down to defeat.

The Corona/Einhart match had excellent build-up to it, and I like how they have me kinda believing Corona has a chance, anyway. Without this nice narrative and character buildup, I'd probably feel more certain of Einhart winning, so it's good to be kept in a little bit of doubt and suspense anyway.

And like The Green One and FlareKnight wrote, the show has done a good job of presenting Corona as a very compelling underdog.

Nachtwandler 2015-06-10 13:12

Corona will pull a good fight. And quite unpredictable from a summoner.

The Green One 2015-06-10 14:15

For those who know the outcome, please don't spoil it for the anime only viewers. Let them enjoy the upcoming match to the fullest.

Stark700 2015-06-10 17:35

Mm I thought that fight was all overall enjoyable. Victoria's win didn't surprise me though

fallendrgmaster 2015-06-10 19:33

Haven't finished the episode but when Nanoha was saying "when friends have to fight, it can get tense." I was like understatement much?! Do you remember your arena dual with Signum.

FlareKnight 2015-06-11 00:51

Victoria really was a pretty awesome fighter in this episode. I mean she really is an overwhelming character. Her confidence as an inheritor of an ancient style isn't misplaced. Plus electric focused fighters are pretty fun to watch. Hopefully we get to see a few more of her matches since it would be interesting to see her matched up against someone a bit more on her level in terms of pure power.

ReddyRedWolf 2015-06-11 00:58

Corona if your coach was Nanoha she would've really scolded you for pushing yourself.

Saying that Subaru worked for the library was unforgivable.

Giving her all could be said to be giving 100%. Personally I would say Corona gives about 310% in this fight. You all really don't want to miss this one. It's not quite my favorite fight of the series (Rio vs SPOILER, or SPOILER vs SPOILER compete for that title), but it is incredibly badass, and has a character show the most SPOILER since we first saw them out of any character in Vivid.

...Frakkin spoiler policy makes it really hard to talk at all.

Nachtwandler 2015-06-11 17:51

For me personally Corona vs Einhard was the best fight.

To be fair I was kind of going with the idea that Corona hopefully gives everything she possibly can to this and either wins or makes it incredibly close :). At least its good to know this will be one heck of a showdown. A very emotional matchup since it is more than just showing what one can do against a high level opponent. That inter-team balance and need to show one belongs is definitely important.

And yeah a thing that's forgotten is that Rio has to have a big match coming up. How her abilities hold up against a stronger opponent will be interesting. The same could be said for Vivio and Miura. There is less mystery there since we know what both of them can do at this point, but it should still be good.

For now though the focus is on Corona and Einhart. With the desperation that Corona has shown can expect she'll push herself as hard as she can. May have a few self-damaging moves in mind to try and narrow the gap.
