「Gokicha!! Cockroach Girls
 

An anime adaptation of doujin circle Rui-tomo’s manga 「!!」 has been green-lit for production. The anime, entitled 「Gokicha!! Cockroach Girls」, will be shown on mobile phones. It will be produced by MOVIC.

The 「!!」 doujin manga is about a moe anthropomorphized cockroach girl named Gokicha who had just moved from Hokkaido and tries very hard to befriend humans. It was originally released at Comiket 77 in December 2009. The second doujin, entitled 「!!!」, was made available at Comiket 78 in August 2010.

Hmmm, I wonder what resolution it airs in if it's on cellphones. Also, I guess a cellphone show wouldn't have to fit in a normal-length timeslot. Maybe it'll be kind of like Nyaruko-san...

Ika Musume was great. Also this doujin... I've heard of it from long ago. Pages would pop up on image boards. So if there was some cancer, the anime industry would be a corpse at the moment. Or at least that's my completely unfounded assessment based on barely tangent proof. :p

oh man, amongst all the pests i know, cockroaches are the worst! DX see, they alrdy knew they'd be killed and yet they still won't stop coming over you. DX Anyway, i like this since i like moe.XD

The author just used the convenient color scheme most likely. I wouldn't be surprised if a pink on shows up.

As far as I know, Naoko Tekeuchi(author of Sailormoon) already made manga about anthropomorphized cockroaches long before this one but it was stopped and I don't know why. According to some rumors the original script were missing and its not going to be re-published again.
