Bodypaint? What do you mean? Looks like spandex to me?

This is Fukuhara Kaori's big chance. She was Tsukasa in Lucky Star and is now the only one of the four stars of that show not to earn an award at the Seiyuu Awards.

This show could easily get it for her, in part since it is directed by Kimura Shinichirou, who directed Mahoroba and Karin. He has the touch for heartwarming moe.

Midonin 2009-03-25 17:32

Alright, website updated with info on the OP and ED.

The OP is "CHARGE!" sung by Kaori Fukuhara and Ayahi Takagaki.
The ED is "Onegai Sweetheart" by Kaori Fukuhara.

yeah, her getting left out was..... uncalled for. Sounds like a group production team.

Will be hanging out to see if this is a needed moe-fix but also to see if Kaori gets her chance.

I have to say, whoever originally came up with the idea of neural connection cables at the base of the spine was an evil genius... in a good way.

I hope so too, but unfortunately it doesn't exactly look like Seiyuu Awards material. ;) Still looking forward to it though.

Wires coming out from suspicious areas. Will be looking forward to it. NeoSam does it again. :heh:

qmeister 2009-04-01 21:54

Can I get a more concrete idea of what this is about? (Other than moe, of course...)

o.o Wires... wrapped around meganekko... like tentacles...

I'm in.

Will this be Ayahi's first singing gig?

She's singing the current to ED to Battle Spirits (it comes on before the Super Hero Time block, that's the only way I know), is a member of sphere (singing the Hatsukoi Limited OP) and was part of the trio for the first OP/second ED of Special A last year. She also occasionally doubles with Chrome Shelled for the Nina version of the Regios ED.

Update! According to MoonPhase, this show has a starting date of 6/25, and it'll take over the spot now occupied by Queen's Blade. Guess this makes it not so much of a late Spring entry as an early Summer one.

I still look forward to it, though.

Midonin 2009-05-07 22:02

Okay...third consecutive post by me. But once again, something that's good to know. Namely, the first promo.

Spoiler for Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-chan!!:

The reason it's behind a spoiler tag is because Plug's transformation is not quite worksafe.

andyjay729 2009-05-08 05:37

Thanks for the update! Now I have a date to mark on my calendar. Yeah, I don't really think this is Seiyuu Awards material, but not everything has to be. (Though I kinda hope that Kaorin doesn't only appear in ecchi material.) Hmm, just as long as it isn't Queen's Blade-bad (ughh, that sounded like a new low).

Midonin 2009-05-08 19:38

I find it highly unlikely. The only thing it shares with Queen's Blade is the time slot at the moment. Different source, different goal. I don't think the fanservice will go too far beyond the skintight suits.

Thoguht 2009-05-11 02:36

Judging from the preview (which is available now on torrent) the term "skintight" is rather an understatement as you could still use some of the images for gynecology study :eyespin:

A raw manga chapter I read. Didn't realized it was a plug suit later on.

Ahh yes...my eyes are well fed. MMMmmm

My understanding is that she just graduated with a degree in vocal music, and that her main preference -- and the style she is best at -- is opera.
