This is kind of an old news, but as reported in Saishin Anime Jōhō this movie is scheduled to be out on the big screen at December 4, 2010. Here is the ANN article for those of us that don't read Nihonogo:

The official website of the fourth Bleach anime film has launched on Monday with the movie's title and release date: Bleach: Jigoku-hen (Bleach: Hell Chapter) on December 4. According to the website, the Jigoku-Hen subtitle signifies that the story takes place in a place unvisited by Tite Kubo's original manga, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year. As Eiichiro Oda did with last December's One Piece Film Strong World, Kubo is personally overseeing the production of the new Bleach film.

I couldn't find a synopsis. Will update the opening post when I do. Feel free to add to the information.

"HELL"――. is the place where a person is sent to who committed violent crimes when they were alive. SHINIGAMIs are forbidden to go there. One day prisoners revolt and make their escape to the KARAKURA-town where Ichigo and his friends live in. Ichigo and his friends are defeated one after the other by prisoners with overwhelming power. A mystery man appears ("KOKUTOO (黒　刀刂") who comes to their rescue. With Kokutoo leading the way Ichigo, Rukia, Uryuu, and Renji marches into HELL to save the world.

Now an endless, desperate struggle breaks out between Ichigo and his friends with the TOGABITO!

Dear God, it actually happened...

on the upside, it is a movie instead of another 300 chapter 'rescue x' arc like we were expecting.

granted it will still be 'rescue x,' but it has a built in length restriction by being a movie.

Hmm Ulq is shown in a casual outfit on the site, maybe he's the receptionist in hell now? XD

It probably will be another rescue arc though...

Hopefully it will be Kubo Tite that is rescued from the evil clutches of poor stories.

The full length trailer is going to be premiered at the release of the Naruto movie on July 31st.

Also apparently Kubo is personally overseeing the production of this film. God help us all.

No trailer as of yet and like Langus mentioned in his post, we won't get anything definitive until the Naruto movie premiers just because Pierrot is the animation production company for both, Naruto and Bleach. It's milk time.

The article states Kubo will be the one overseeing the movie to commemorate the 10th anniversary for Bleach manga. So whatever that means. :p

You mean a sign that fans should give up hope of Kubo bringing it back into the storyline right? If Kubo wanted to, he would have done it already. This is probably being done so people stop tweeting him about a Hell arc.
