Not looking forward to any of them. Better look for some older shows instead. No offense intended.

tsunade666 2010-12-19 18:47

How about we use this chart? It's in English and accurate!

asaqe 2010-12-19 20:10

The only VN adaptation is also on ATX this time around.

List is not made by me, and of course it is hell a lot inaccurate.

This is why I always say Westernotaku >>>>>> Japanotaku.

3 ????? (there isn't even a name in this picture)
That one is A-1 pictures original project that is confirmed to be airing this Spring. No detail is out yet except the clue.

Now I'm hoping for Mai HiME to return in spring or summer 2011 or whenever please Sunrise.

Well I'll be watching:

1. The World God Only Knows - Love the manga and the first season is (mostly) doing a great job of adapting the material with some original bits of its own.

2. Hana Saku Iroha - The PV released look fantastic and the setting looks laid back and lovely.

3. Nichijou - Because I'm an unapologetic Kyoto Animation fanboy and I will still watch the shows they make even if I end up not really liking them.

Will Try:

1. Denpa Onna etc. - I got goaded to giving it a try so I'll give it a shot.

2. Hidan no Aria - Girls with guns. It's either going to rule hard or fail hard. Maybe I'll hope for the former.

Yea, those all look like the ones I'd check out. Spring looks much better than the last few.

Master_Yoma 2010-12-19 22:25

Cool Shukufuku no Campanella, Queens Blade and Black Lagoon need to watch

Ya Apple Seed XIII now this need to be licensed now

The Chaos 2010-12-20 00:19

I'm only looking forward for Gintama after seen the awesome trailer :D

Simon 2010-12-20 00:53

Wow, these threads normally just depress me, but Spring looks strong on variety. I'm up for:
  • Hyouge Mono Samurai + tea ceremony = WIN
  • Showa Monogatari Modern history is fine too (the only other thing I've seen set in mid-60s Japan is Hula Girls, and that was great)
  • Moshidora Because I'm intrigued to know how they plan on turning management theory into a good story
  • Hana-Saku Iroha The three things the synopsis brought to mind were sa, bi and su, but after watching the trailer I am totally sold on this one
  • Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi I mean hell, why not? Can't say I've ever watched a BL anime before (unless you count SHnY :p ), and the idea of this poor bloke being marooned in the shoujo department amuses me

asaqe 2010-12-20 01:37

Well what made me happy is there is only one VN adaptation in the next month and it will be on AT-X, which means we will get softcore ecchi.

Wrong. Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi is based on a manga created by Shungiku Nakamura (Junjou Romantica). The logo that was similar to Sora no Otoshimono was Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai based on a eroge by Navel (Shuffle!, Soul Link)

Sket Dance
Hyouge Mono
Steins;Gate
Hana Saku Iroha
Deadman Wonderland
Ao no Exocist
Nurageki
Toriko
Showa Monogatari (the most anticipated series for me)
C (it might be spring's Noitamina show)

-Sho- 2010-12-20 12:13

Wow this season will be a great start for 2011 !!

Why ?

- Gintama comeback !!!!
- TWGOK S2 !!!

Those two are enough to please me !

And then for more enjoyment :

- Appleseed XIII , seriously ? I saw the two 3D movies but is it a full anime version ?
- Deadman Wonderland , yes finally , even though i dropped the manga.
- Steins Gate ? Chaos Head sequel ?gonna give it a try !

Eh? X-men ? Seriously ? ow it's Madhouse , i understand now... but still , srly ?? Hope they won't kill the american anime.

And ofc , the OVA,OAD etc...

- Black Lagoon
- HOTD
- Air Gear
- xxxHolic
- Yozakura
- Baka to test

Ghost in the shell 3D ?? what is it ?

Bonta Kun 2010-12-20 12:41

Well I'll just say one thing for now and that there are loads of series I will be checking out, too many in fact but there is 1 series that beats everything and anything airing in the spring and thats Gintama!

and I guess I'll also say Moshidora appeals to me more and more every time I read about it. Even if it's the same thing I read over and over, I find it oddly alluring despite it being about baseball, something I really quite dislike watching in IRL.

Oh and another thing where the hell did that JUMP HEROES FILM come from!!??
I never heard about that.

...well guess I didn't have just the 1 thing to say after all:p

A 3D release of Solid State Society.

Reckoner 2010-12-21 23:36

Another lackluster Spring season.

Are the companies even trying anymore?

Maybe the production IG show may be good. Will check out 2nd season of World Only God Knows.

Deen sinking to even lower lows than I thought they were capable of apparently. A Yaoi? Give me a fucking break.

Where are the anime epics? Where are the actual inventive shows?

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. 2010 was a very bad year for anime. 2011 doesn't seem to be starting out so hot either.

TWGOK, Sket Dance, Gintama, Steins Gate, and Deadman Wonderland are the guaranteed five I would watch. The others I would have to check out later.
