Not funny, hilarious. Only Anime i have seen that was hilarious was School Rumble. Karin was at times but not enough.

Doesnt really matter what type of anime it is as long as it is hilarious.

You might want to try Love Hina. I only read the manga and laughted quite alot. I heard teh anime was prety good to.

If you want something thats its main purpose is comedy try

Ouran Host.

Also there is another anime that i found hilarious and it was

Tenshi Na konamai.

Although they are both super funny and hilarious i would first try Tenshi Na konamai, which is the lesser of the two and then i would try Ouran host. That way i think it will be more joyfull.

Also i double on what Jediant recommended. Although i wouldnt recommend Love hina. Love hina isnt bad, but if you are looking for something as funny as school rumble i wouldnt recommend it personally. Of course its just a personal opinion on love hina :).

Some suggestions for comedy:

Magikano = School comedy with magic, harem, and a large scoop of ecchi. Subs are complete.

Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu = A "must see" comedy series. Licensed R1.

Sumomomo Momomo = The first dozen or so episodes are hysterical, though IMO the series starts to lose its edge after that. Subs are ongoing.

Nodame Cantabile = Quirky comedy set in a music academy. Subs are ongoing.

Inukami (make sure you survive the 1st 2 eps though :heh: )

perhaps Futakoi Alternative as well.

I wouldn't recommend lvoe hina, i thought it was really stupid and from what I remember it was the same joke over and over again but I guess if you're really into ecchi then...

I'd also put Jungle wa Itsumo Hale noche Guu right at the top of your list.

You might want to look at Abenobashi Magical Shopping Arcade, another wacky show in the GAINAX style. I think it's better than their FLCL. Both these GAINAX shows are licensed in R1 by ADV, while Hale noche Guu is not.

i second FLCL, although it still gets a little serious the joke suse din between are hilarious

Kanon (2006) had some downright hilarious moments in the first 7-8 episodes. It does become a quite serious drama after that point, but who knows, you might find the series enjoyable.

I also second Fumoffu?, but watch at least a few episodes of Full Metal Panic! first, else it won't make much sense.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Looks like i have a ton of anime to look up on. I have seen FLCL. It was funny but way too random for me. Full Metal Panic was one of the first animes i have seen in full but i have not seen Fumoffu.

Hmm.... Honey and Clover gave me one of the most hilarious moments since a long while. Omg.... Twister game of death lol. Too bad its not all comedy, the first few episodes contains quite a bit though.

When it comes out later this year, try Hayate the Combat Butler. Given how funny the manga is, I expect the show will be pretty good. :cool:

It's completely crazy.

Dokuro-chan ftw! That's the anime that's gotten most laughs out of me.

And of course, if you haven't seen it yet (you should die if you didn't), Azumanga Daioh (strange no one mentioned this).
