This is solely an anime discussion thread. Starting from Episode 87 and currently ending at Episode 120.

These were pretty awesome eps... Choppers Rumble Ball is awesome... i loathe Wapol still, Cant wait for next ep

great eps indeed like always. good to see we are being treated with multiple servings of OP. hopes that outpour by KF continues. One can only hope that do what AO did with Prince of Tennis a week or two ago or maybe even better than that.

as for the eps, they were great. the unleashing of Chopper's Rumble Ball transformation are a delight. you gotta give props to Luffy with that intense attitude towards the flag. awesomely done. and its always a joy to see Chopper's bashful criticism. only thing i don't care for all that much was the reused materials of Chopper's past with Hililuk again. maybe it was necessary to bring out the emotion of the moment. still, reused flashbacks are not my fav.

great outing by KF, looking forward to the next ep soon. but i wonder what and when Chopper's 8th transformation will appear. you know its inevitable. everyone tends to learn new moves as the show and manga progresses.

Thanks K-F for releasing two episodes! From the looks of it luffy doesn't need to get serious at all to beat Wapol, hes just gonna beat him down. The funniest part between the two episodes has to be in episode 88 when Ussop is pushed away by Zoro after Zoro took Dalton over his shoulder. I also love Sanjis line in episode 87 when he blocks the afro from hitting Doctorine.

Chopper RULES, the little guy can deliver some power alright, also when he was dodging those axes it was excellent the way he dodged them by changing shapes, and Luffy seems to get more stupid by each passing episode.

Yeah, it does seem that way, but some of the stuff that he said are funny as hell. "it a beam, beam!" cracks me up :heh:

Good pair of episodes, I'm glad we got a 2 for 1. Hopefully we see more of those.

Something I really enjoyed was the scene where Dalton is about to go up the mountain, and then all of a sudden Usopp is in front of him. The whole scene stops while you try to figure out what he's going to do.
His character doesn't get alot of cool scenes like that.

Hmmm I didn't enjoy 87 too much ... the Chopper flash backs dragged on again. I think 87 and 88 should have been compressed into 1 episode or 1.5. Chopper is cute and all ... but I'm really not liking this Drum Kingdom miniarc. None of the enemies are even remotely cool and the story is going waaay toooo slooow.

Wapol is very funny lol He just gets his ass kicked :D Lol, Luffy astonished when Chessmarimo appeared was really funny too (Sanji just goes: "HE'S JUST STANDING ON HIS SHOULDER! THAT AIN'T COOL!").

Can't wait for next episode, maybe just 2 more eps to the end of the Drum Empire arc...? I want to see Mr.2 already :D

The Drum Arc is the best. What u talking about Lex-san. This arc introduce... erm..that guy who has narcolepsy. :) Anyway, I got to agree with Lex-san about the villians in this arc being quite uninteresting. Wapol's power is really stupid to me.

Finally got around to watching these two.

Chopper is so damned cute :) His little moment at the end of ep 88 when Luffy calls him his nakama was real sweet. Some quality moments from Sanji/Luffy too, and Nami too ('My coat is cooler!').

Nothing happens in ep 87, and there's barely action in 88
No wonder the serie is 150 long, so much useless scenes (damn f***ing flashbacks)
Reminds me dbz episodes, when the fighters were staring at each other during the whole 20 minutes without doing anything

Just finished seeing the new subed episodes. We finnaly get to see some action! But you know, the fight with wapol would of ended in 2 minutes if the whole straw hat pirate crew was there. Zoro could of handled every single last one of them by him self >.>

Episode 87 was a very touching flashing back, and not only that but this series has very little flash backs at all, so fitting one in from time to time is just fine.

Luffy could do that as well but he was staring at Chopper 7 transformation and his Beam(Baka Luffy), anyway they had to introduce Chopper abilities right so what better way to do so than to let him beat up some idiots :D

"HES GONNA SHOOT A BEAM!!!!!!"

The flashbacks are starting to seem redundant. They are stretching them out just a little too long and showing nothing. But I see the reason for it all. They had to have Chopper's fight seperate from everyone else, because he would have overshadowed within 1 maybe 2 moves done by any of our main characters. Now that it is over, I am hoping Zoro gets there and someone who is actually strong shows up. I would rather have Luffy fight Capt. Kuro again than watch him slap a hungry guy wrapped in steel. In all things considered, I think Capt. Kuro might be able to take Zoro, and Sanji.

WahahAHHAhahah. This was so funny, becuase of how serious luffy was about Chopper shooting a beam :D

but how cool and more powerful that would be for chopper, sorta like the power that the villian of movie 1 have. sides, a beam would easily make luffy's day. he'd be awe-stricken for the rest of the day

No No that would be bad, if just by seeing Chopper 7 transformation he completely forgot about Wapol can you imagine what a Beam would do to Luffy he would be in complete extasy Wapol could pound him up all day that he would just stay with that face he does when he is completely happy :D

I think the best part is where Vivi is calmed by a composed Usopp only to have that seriousness be immediately switched to Usopp having is legs wobbling in fear while Zoro calls him out. :D

Sanji's line totally made those episodes for me: "Hey hey hey, Afroman...Shootin' your fro at a lady? What kind of soul brother are you?"

I wish Chopper had the rumble ball effects permantly and stay in the "Jumping mode" format for most of the time. Makes that cute critter look so cool.

I agree. I think that's the coolest form. I really loved this episode, especially Luffy's beam line and Chopper and Sanji's battle with the stupid afros.

Since episode 89 has been released today, I hereby declare the Episode 87/88 discussions closed but now I'm proud to announce the Episode 89 discussions open.

This thread has now been renamed the One Piece Episode 89 Discussion [Spoilers] thread. May all who sail in her.... (OK, OK, lame joke).

Episode 89 was cool, Nami really is a woman that thinks only about money lending the jacket to Luffy expecting he would trash it so he would have to pay her 3 times it's price :)
And it ends really well, when Ussop sees Chopper and says MONSTER Chopper starts to run then Luffy goes "don't call him monster is our new nakama, Hey MONSTER come back here" and starts running after him :D

hrm that was quick.. it would probably be the easiest villian luffy has as beaten so far

He took care of Alvida pretty quick too.

i don't really see this as a villian arc, because the whole point of this drum arc is to introduce the newest member of the strawhat crew, and a great addition at that. wapol is mediocre at best. even if he had ate all of the weapons in the armory like he wanted to, he'd still be no match for a serious luffy. its obvious that luffy was just playing around with wapol, that just shows that they're in totally different leagues. the funniest part in the ep for me was probably the encounter between nami and wapol. a bit of humor there to begin with. nami's a goldigger, no thought about that. but i still like her none the less, since she makes up for it with some of her other qualities. she cares about the crew and others like she did here worrying about delaying vivi's quest, and i find that to be a great quality. so if the choice was money or her nakamas, there's no doubt in my mind, she'd go with her nakamas. man, i'd say this for luffy, he's got the best crew.

I agree with Dual-san.
The Drum Kingdom arc was there only to introduce Chopper. Even though Wapol is a "villain", he's just a funny and stupid guy used to introduce more humor to the series- even though he's cruel, and evil (in a stupid way, of course).

Episode 89 was really cool. Luffy using the Gomu Gomu no Bazooka in Wapol was cooler in the anime than in the manga. Maybe this arc will end next episode, and then Mr.2 will appear in episode 91? Really, I NEED to see him in anime! OKAMA PRIDE! :D

Well, it's not like Oda was trying to make yet another freakishly strong bad guy that gives Luffy tons of trouble before he got to the main arc. I mean, every ow and then we need those weird and easily beat down bad guys who think they're all that.

WahahahahahHAhahhha. We got to see skinny Wapol!!! :D

I loved when Zoro and the rest arrived and then luffy sling shotted him self at them, thinking they where Wapol's nakama :D

I hope the next episode rap things up in drum country.

Don't be ridiculous! I'm the kind of man that says: "If there's a mountain, climb it." However, this cliff was somewhat of an adventure. Yeah I was pretty surprised that time the giant condor attacked us! But that was where I, of course... NO! I should say "There was I, as always!" Knowing what I must do- the instant he came up striking at my heart, I jumped up and...whirled away from it! Then I grabbed on! And there I was, Captain "Me" straddling the condor, flying through the skies! Twas I! I who tied a rope around it's neck and shouted: "My name is..... CAPTAIN USOPP!"

Good episode. I'm glad they wraped up the fighting and hopefully they will sail off next episode. Gotta love the part with Sanji and Nami in this episode, it was pretty funny. I also liked seeing Wapol getting beat down by Luffy, of course we all knew he was a weakling.

so i guess I am the only one who can't get the torrent... crap
